"Shallow" and "elitist" mean "good taste" in Whinese.

Could you say that in English, please?

7 min later 4009740 Anonymous
Having good taste does basically make you an elitist. The reason for this is because those without good taste don't realize it, and continue to be dumb and ignorant. >but it's fun! >but I liked it! No, shut the fuck up, and come back when you have taste.

>>4009740 >liking some things is somehow 'better' than liking other things Explain why this should be the case.

12 min later 4009774 Anonymous
>>4009740 Given that taste is entirely subjective, I think your entire argument can be summed up as >WAH STOP LIKING WHAT I DON'T LIKE

13 min later 4009781 Anonymous
>>4009774 bad taste detected.

>>4009755 /mu/? Good taste? Lol, no. >hey look guys this new album came out and it's relatively unknown, so that makes it the best! >>4009760 It's not better, it's right. There is nothing different other then realizing what's good, and what's bad. You can like bad stuff, it's okay. But don't go around saying it's good simply because you like.

>>4009774 No, there are objective truths. Is Police Academy 3 a good movie? Absolutely not. Is A Clockwork Orange a good movie? Yes. Stop being dumb, pls

21 min later 4009824 Anonymous
>>4009781 >>4009801 The only way good and bad are defined is by their popularity among a group of people you identify with. There are objective truths, but I challenge you to provide an empirical measurement of how "good" a movie is that doesn't revolve around how many people from certain groups like it.

>>4009792 And how is it right, exactly? What makes liking the other things wrong? You're not allowed to say 'because they're bad'.

24 min later 4009847 Anonymous
>>4009824 I'm guessing he'll bring up some sort qualities that are considered good but in reality are still subjective as to whether they're actually good or not.

I laugh at people who whine about Elitism and try to use it as an insult, sorry but when you call somebody an Elitist you are actually complementing them while admitting you have shit taste and can't appreciate it. Also Sayaka a bitch.

>>4009852 >shit taste How do people still believe that's a thing? It's on par with people still believeing religion.

>>4009862 Well to put it bluntly: Your favourite band is shit That band you want to listen to, you like it but you have never taken the time to listen to it because you keep listening to that other crap: its good.

32 min later 4009891 Anonymous
>>4009872 No, I completely understand what you're saying, but you're not saying anything with any real reasoning and you're using 'bad' and 'good' as if they are objective terms. Also there is no band I want to listen to but haven't taken time to.

>>4009891 I'm too drunk to give you a proper response sorry.

>>4009941 heheh repeated what I said soo funni XD I see it all the time, somebody doesn't like something at one point in time because they're to busy enjoying shit. After the rancid smell gets to them they start to think "Hrmmm he wait a second, isn't this shit!?" so they think, they look around begging for recs because they're too lazy to to find something that might appeal to them. They eventually remember "Hey isn't that the ___ I was meant to try out" so they put on and try it out then before they now it "Holy shit this is awesome" and become addicted to it, when they're not enjoying it they think to themselves "Wait a second, why didn't I play this earlier?". Well the truth is we did tell you to enjoy it earlier, but you insisted on eating shit because you're an idiot.

The truth is that there is a thing called objectivety. It can be applied by smart people on certain things, music being one of those (example: one direction is absolutely crap because its just banality over banality) But in things like food there is absolutely no objectivity...
