So, lads, how do we reunify North and South Korea?

We don't. Even if the Kim dynasty collapsed, North Korea would be too much behind in every kind of way. The best thing to do would be keeping the borders closed and importing capitalism (I can't believe I'm saying this...) and providing them with newer technology, money and food until they're on the same level as South Korea was about 20 years ago. Even in that scenario, uniting would be difficult and a very heavy burden on South Korea's economy.

6 min later 8014738 Anonymous
How about no. South Korea probably doesn't want to take in the shithole that is NK.

>>8014667 I really have this a tought. You know how East and West german united. Well East Germany was top 3 in living standards in communism. And that was okay. High technology didn't enter peoples lives back then everything was more or less simple. But today. South Korea is like god compared to North. Theres 30 years between them at least. Now what they would provide if they went democratic is an even cheaper source of labour then china. This might give quite the boost to South Korean companies such as LG and Samsung they could steam roll everyone with ridiculously low prices. But honestly I can't imagine them uniting before 2050. North needs to do SO MUCH WORK. They're literally just starving farmers.

A massive join-operation between China, the US and South Korea where all parties invade North Korea and with overwhelming firepower and technology occupy the country, neutralize any weapons of mass destruction and apprehend the military elite controlling the country. The cultural ties are still strong. And though no one really believes it anymore, everyone in both North and here will agree with the inevitable justification for reunification, or at least they'll pretend so. The Northern regime itself has been hanging on its lifeline for quite a long time. The problem here, of course, is our society's capacity to actually govern the place. It's going to be pretty fucking rough time with massive social tumult and confusion as Korea, unlike our Western counterparts, never dealt with issues such as mass immigration and domestic diversity. But at least the Northerners are still Koreans, and the ones that fled here tend to settle pretty well after some years of adaptation, so we still have some hope. We'll just have to get them standing on their on feet as something like an autonomous region supported by American and Chinese cooperation until they gain at least a modicum of economy and modern society, then we'll have to integrate them under Seoul a bit by bit. At least we both speak the same language, have same historical reference preceding 1948, and most crucially, identify each other as national brethren.

What I'm worried about are the hordes of brainwashed commies in the north multiplied with the hivemind mentality. The country needs to be seriously decommiefied before any kind of unification could take place. East Germany was pretty lax when it came to communism, but look at how big of a shitstorm went down in Russia with the communists trying to retake the control.

>>8015357 They're really not. Only North Koreans who actually believe what their government says are Pyeongyangers. This is only because the Northern governments permits only elites who wholesomely submit themselves to the regime to live in Pyeongyang. The rest of the country doesn't believe in anything anymore except not starving to death until next month when they're scheduled to make a dash to the Chinese border. You're talking about commie hivemind mentality, but that was only because in Eastern Europe, the commies kept at least minimum of their promises regarding education, housing, employment, and social welfare. Don't get me wrong; I'm sure it was shitty, but didn't hear too much of mass starvation in former Eastern bloc except in Romania. North is wholesomely different. They're much more of an African or Arab theocracy rather than a communist country. >Protip; it's in their constitution. Why force something externally? With merged countries, it only works when both populations genuinely wish to return. West Germany and Ost Germany genuinely wanted this and they're doing pretty fine. Any merging would have to evolve to the point that both parties think it is in their best interest. I mean, fuck, sure, we have a shit ton of problems and all of us would rather live somewhere else if given option, but this level of self-disdainful assreeking is astonishing. Before anything, if you want to talk about why Koreans are prone to brainwashing, you're more accurate pointing fingers at old Japanese colonial social authoritarianism which got preserved through the mandatory military service rather than Confucianism. The old Korean society, like Joseon Era, was far less hierarchical than you'd expect it was. Look up correspondence between Confucian scholars, prominently between that of 퇴계 이황 and 기대승. Nearly 30 years age difference, yet they still addressed each other equally with respect. And this sort of inter-generational friendship unimaginable nowadays were common in old Korea. It is a good idea, but the only and crucial problem with this is that by 'reforming NK first', it's automatically implying Seoul's gonna more or less stay out of the process. If Seoul's gonna stay out of the process and delay the full-fledged reunification until they're doing better, then there's no point in reunification except appealing to our nationalist historical credo. If NK is actually able to stand on its own feet somewhat, then I don't think Northerners would even find reunification necessary and appealing. We're kinda stuck in catch-22 double entrapment here. We just suck them in like a pink vaghole, then the whole East Asia's going to be in a massive social and economic crisis. If we don't absorb them wholesomely, then there's sorta little practical reason for reunification except some ideological jargon.

If North and South Korea united each other, Kim Jonwun would be a new president? Otherwise, Neo Korea would be a part of USA?

If you are a conspiracy theory nutjob >In Asia as well, there is a lot of intensive maneuvering taking place to do something about the artificial divisions created between North and South Korea, Taiwan and China and within Japan. >However, the WDS itself believes that the Northern dynasty headed by Kim Jong-Un should be given some sort of permanent, hereditary royal type of role in a reunified peninsula. http://jhaines6.wordpress.com/2012/12/10 /ben-fulford-the-sunni-middle-east-and-t he-korean-peninsula-both-artificially-di vided-by-the-cabal-to-be-reunified-decem ber-11-2012/ Just read Benjamin Fulford.

We had experts from South Korea in Germany, they were given information on what we were doing and how it worked(not). As far as I know this country will never be economically united, because the costs will fuck South-Korea and the competition will fuck North-Korea. When there is no Economic unity North Korea will loose it's skilled population to countries that pay higher wages, it will totally bleed of and the left population will likely live in a much worst economie than they have now. Even if that is hard to believe.

A reunified Korea would be great cause the North would just dissolve the shithole the South is.

6 hours later 8021057 Anonymous
It's impossible for any reunification unless if it's both North and South Korea join under a federation. The North Koreans were right after all. South Korean conservatives opposed the idea in the past and still do. But they should know that they were wrong.

We wait for the North to try and launch another rocket test and we bomb the shit out of them while it's still on the launch pad and just keep raining down hellfire until all of its military bases and infrastructure are completely annihilated. Problem solved.
