Planned cities look cool from the air and in maps. Other than that, 90% of the times they are shit. Organic cities with planning limited to each neighborhood as the city grows, all articulated by a general master plan is where the good stuff is.

Also, a lot of cities in Paraná's countryside. Maringá is the most fammous one, and it's actually really comfy. They managed to make the city very green

The oldest building (Kruttornet) is from 1160.
And the city already existed when they built that.
Perhaps you meant the buildings people live in today, then you would be correct but the city it self is almost 1000 years old.

See the map. Most Brazilians live on the coast. Countryside is almost empty, so if you want to build a city in those places there must be some significant planning/investment from the federal government.

There are a few, but they are relatively old already.
Bayreuth, Lippstadt, Lemgo and Neubrandenburg are basically medieval planned cities. Jülich is partly a renaissance-type planned city, Erlangen, Karlsruhe, Mannheim and Ludwigsburg are baroque planned cities, Karlsruhe and Mannheim are also relatively big cities (350k people).
Modern ones... Wilhelmshaven, Wolfsburg I assume, Eisenhüttenstadt and Hoyerswerda (both being from the GDR).

good place to live and good place to work but yeah very soulless and expensive
moved to a more naturalistic town but realized that as the population grew everything sort of falls apart cause neither the infrastructure or local government could handle it
