Not a britfag, but yes. The state of football currently is abysmal and the game has completely changed. Players are being paid way too much etc. Nevertheless, Its still more entertaining and engaging than most american sports. You guys don't have any real rivalries, where is the fun in that? No real sport culture beyond "Tailgating." We have rivalries dating back to the middle ages, son.
Anecdotal story: I went to a baseball game in the US once. Goddamn it was fucking hilarious. They constantly needed to drone music, or throw up some kind of interactive game on the big screen or get people to do some dumb shit like the wave to keep them from just sitting there and being bored.
Even if you don't like football, you should go to a game somewhere outside the US sometime just for the experience.
