Is there anywhere apart from 4chan that people hangout to have a conversation with others? What are your opinions on Quora, Twitter, Tumblr and other similar 'social media' sites? I wish I could find a place where it actually felt like a community.

>>20366729 Quora is the Great Value version of yahoo answers. Twitter is for normal fags. Tumblr is for porn. You want community? Join a cult.

>>20366787 I feel like they are all these vast wastelands where you can't actually interact with people and you're just another account. Take twitter, you just post shit and nobody likes it unless you've cultivated a persona for years and have heaps of followers. Am I just doing it wrong? Where do modern people go to find new friends and have meaningful conversations?

I guess I'm just wondering where people like to hang out online?

>>20366837 Great tip! Thanks, I completely forgot about it. Do you use Discord as a kind of chat room, joining rooms with new people and that sort of thing?

>>20366843 It's just irc for zoomers. AKA if you are not in on the ground floor when the server is made, the only way to really join in is to be irl friends with a high-status member. Othetwise you are just ignored and/or banned.

>>20366787 Tumblr was for porn. It's sadly useless now.

>>20366855 I miss the days of IRC :'( I used to be a part of one that was made for a relatively small FPS game. One of the few places you could log on with complete strangers and just shoot the shit. Great times. Then the game died off and everyone slowly left. That was the end of one of the great community experiences in my life.
