Have you tried having a Sly grab you from behind and put his staff in your anus?
Of course I tried blocking. If you press any button he teleports behind you (not the counter) and steals AP. Landing a super on him is impossible since he's invisible and teleports all over the map. You can't build AP since you never hit him and if you do he steals it back. The only success I've had is trying to stay in the air and attack that way but that only lets me build and keep AP. You still can't land a super on him.

I can say that Donte's not for me. His playstyle doesn't fit. Raiden's better button-masher. Evil Cole, kinda cool character and his rival scene kinda made sense. You have to learn to play Sly, but he gets better as you go. There isn't really much to say about Parappa, everyone knows how he plays.
And I'm still pissed that my Gamestop didn't have costumes and steelbook yet. I'm going back to ask about them on Friday.

Honestly I FUCKING LOVE THIS GAME.
But I give it a 8.5. Maybe 9.0.
Certain things do lessen the experiences the campaign is super "meh" Unlockables are cool but there aren't actually too many good ones for each characters.
The game isn't perfect but it's a blast!
If you notice when reading the lower reviews a lot of them pretty much say "It's like Super Smash but it isn't. Why isn't it Smash? It should be Smash. I like Smash."

7.5 - 8 is what I'd give it. The gameplay is certainly there and the unlockables are great, leaving a lot of content to go through but regardless, it does come up short with a few things.
>The UI is very ugly and generic. They clearly didn't work on it long enough.
>The music, while decent for the most part, is too low compared to all of the other noise in the game. And even then, some of the musical choices aren't the best (Sandover Village, as much as I love the song, should never be used when 4 Playstation characters are beating the piss out of each other)
>Personal opinion (technically all of these are, but you get my drift) but the lack of an art style, as in all the characters represent the art style from their respective games, is a double-edged sword. While it's nice that Ratchet and Heihachi look just they do in the Ratchet and Clank and Tekken games respectively, they kinda look misplaced at times when bunched together. If they had gone the Marvel vs Capcom 3 route, where all the characters retain look but in a unified art style, the game would've looked much nicer, artistically.

That must be a universal challenge, because I just did the same thing with Heihachi. It was super frustrating because I couldn't make it to level 2 and Heihachi's level 1 is garbage. Then one retry and I get level 2 in like 15 seconds and immediately win the challenge.

To combo into his level 1, I can't find a way to do it consistently. I've manged to get it from j.d+3 from max range of the super, but it's not a good thing to go for. However, you can very easily combo into level 2 (Stinger).

SuperBot has really raised the bar for Vita ports. The amount of detail they were able to preserve between console and handheld is incredible. The only real differences I can spot are the lack of anti-aliasing and less post-processing.

So earlier I got a real Gamer's rush.
I was playing 2vs2,I had one life left and my partner was gone.Both of the opponents were alive,Drake had 1 life,Nariko had 2.I managed to take out Drake and started my 1vs1 with Nariko.After about 5 minutes,I hit her with my level 1 now I only had to kill her once more.I dodged and blocked all of her attacks like a mad man,not even thinking,my fingers just moved.My character was floating around on the battlefield.Until my controller ran out of battery and I was swiftly defeated.All I know is that I may have lost but I sure had a fun time

The only thing it's lacking in comparison to Smash is content, and I'm alright with that because the gameplay is solid. It's much less frustrating to me than Smash is, which is great, and most shit in the game isn't random.

If you're Sackboy and you have a teleport set up you can easily outmaneuver it.

Stop worying about combos bro. I have played Tekken for years, and the first thing to learn with fighting games is that you need to learn the basic mechanics of the games before you worry about combos if you want to have a shot at all.
What good is a combo if you aren't able to punish, control space, choose the right move, etc etc.

Whenever I try to guess a roll I always leave myself wide open because I just walk to you. You could grab me or attack me if you can predict me trying to catch you on the roll.
I don't know much about Radic but it looks like hes a type of character that wouldn't have combos like that. At any rate the internet will prolly come up with some nice Radic bread and butters than can build quick AP soon.

You need to preemptive sniper, man. If you sniper before he throws cake, he has to either decide to throw cake or dodge the sniper shot, and if he's dodging the sniper shot, he's not throwing cake. That's what you're trying to get him to stop doing, isn't it? Make him come to you, and that's when you can establish your zoning game. Stop playing on reactions and start thinking ahead.

This is why I didn't even bother posting an explanation, because you're bad. NOTHING Kratos has is safe on block unless you are at max range of his blades. You can literally hold L1, wait for him to do anything, and then hit him for free.
Radec's sniper is also pretty bad. Here's a protip, when you see the red laser, wait a god damn second before you roll and you'll go through it flawlessly every time. Or just fucking jump. Anything gets through it really. And the cloak bomb isn't invincible, you can still hit him. In fact, you can take that as a free chance to throw a super at him because there's nothing he can do about it.

Personally for me, the best way to approach Kratos is to let him approach you. His range is everything, but if you block and continue blocking until he gets close enough he becomes a joke where every one of his moves becomes easily punishable. Just have more patience than he does and punish.
He is a nightmare in FFA though because everyone is too fucking stupid to understand that gathering up against Kratos is bad.
I spend most of my time either isolating Kratos from the group, or sending others flying in other directions so that Kratos can't do shit.

It's not Kratos that is good, it's the fact that you have to deal with 2 other retards who are constantly mashing. Dante's air moves are very safe, especially j.d+3. Plus he can pressure with his guns for free because any attempts to hit him can immediately cancel into parry, angel dash, shredder, or even something like 2 xx u+2 xx j.d+3. His sword attacks at range are safe and also pretty fast.

There are challenges for every character. Although not in the form of a fancy tower but a check list. They start off as tutorials for the characters and then venture off to challenges that require you to do certain task before you can build meter, building meter with certain attacks, surviving an AI opponent with unlimited supers, 1-v-3, clearing a match without dying, clearing a match without getting hit and so on. I play Big Daddy as my first alt.
It kinda depends on who your teammate is. I don't play FFA because its fucking stupid.
If you are with a guy like Raiden or Dante, you want to try and lock people in place with d2, or a 2, d1, u1, 2 combo. Also spam left or right 2 to keep enemies off your teammate.
If you are with someone like Sackboy or Ratchet, you really just need to keep the other team off your teammate so they can spam shit. Good way to do this is left or right 2, or a d2 then mash from a jump.
He is kinda shit for 1v1 because he is slow as all fuck, his attacks have really fucking short range, and his projectile is really short range. Plus his level 1 is garbage if you have no one to set it up for you.

Don't blame the super system, because number of hits don't determine the winner in a traditional fighter either. See: any grappler or heavy hitter.
The only thing that matters in a lifebar system is the last hit that results in a KO. Nothing else matters. Doing the most stylish combo ingame does not result in a win.

The execution barrier in this game is low so you're going to need to do more than just hit someone a million times.
It's like complaining about losing with your Strider/Firebrand/Phoenix team against a Hulk/Sentinel/Nemesis. You can press buttons and get a highnumber on your combo counter when you manage to land a hit but you can't read some guy mashing H and going into magics.

so I went to Amazon to read some reviews about All Stars
there are two 1-star reviews that basically have the same text
"I start up the game and play as Cole from Infamous. The soundtrack is terrible (the blandest of dubstep) and the menus feel too cartoon-y and childish for my taste -- you're greeted with a giant-headed animal thing. The cutscenes aren't animated, just still images with voices. In this day and age, this is completely unacceptable for a game.
I begin a match in some sort of Chinese restaurant that looks like it was drawn in MS Paint. There are onion-headed onlookers and a Kung Fu master who also has an onion head. I'm pretty confused as to what is going on. The stage starts breaking apart, I die once -- and still, I somehow defeat Sly Cooper. The next match, I have to face two others enemies. Okay. The stage appears to be some sort of building with low-res textures that rival PSX graphics. I defeat them after a long and boring battle, and the number of opponents goes to three.
And it goes on and on from here. Pretty soon, I get to the final boss who looks like a giant unfinished model. I'm not sure if the game has problems loading the boss, or if this is what he's supposed to be. Unimaginative, if you ask me. And then there's an ending that is no different than the beginning.
There has been a drought in good video games -- discounting Halo 4 and BO2 -- and Playstation All-stars is a testament to that. Boring game, waste of time and money. I strongly suggest that no one buy it. We don't need to encourage Sony to make more incomplete games. This is a PSN arcade title, not a full retail game."

I've been winning a lot with Jak, but out of all the characters I use (Cole, Big Daddy, Spike, and Sir Dan to name a few) he takes the most effort to use effectively. From what I've seen, he doesn't really even require much AP to build meter compared to other characters, but he only has about 2 consistent AP builders, and he barely hits 50 with some of his melee combos.That said, a Jak player can really get down to business in a 2v2 with a good partner.
I hope Superbot changes the following for him:

>Arc wielder AP gain
