I've got all my GFWL ports open, but this port checker website says otherwise.
In the network settings in GFWL, it says my NAT is open, but UPnP is unavailable.

I am having a weird glitch with a specific character, he can't see summon/message signs. All my other characters can see them no problem but for some reason this one char can't. It happened when I was just reading /v/ waiting for a forest covenant summon, all of a sudden GFWL disconnected then reconnected apparently causing this specific character to not see any signs or be able to invade. Anyone help please?

If dark flame is the same as great combustion, there's not much point going above 40 dex unless you get 45. 45 allows you to chain great combustion after kick, 44 does not, 40 is the cap for AR scaling. Either just drain enough str for 40 dex, or do that and take an extra point out of vit or something for 45 dex.
I play on ps3 so that's assuming dark flame has the same cast times.

Seriously, I just see how long I can hold onto them. Can't do much with them since I'm a +3 Darkwraith. Sometimes I'll throw myself off a cliff or neglect to pick up my remains after being defeated so I can experience the thrill of doing lesser damage with my Chaos Uchi AND have more incentive to land Dark Hand grabs.

I wouldn't say I'm even that good. Most of those souls are used by me when I need to heal myself during an invasion and pop a humanity that I've farmed. Well if you're able to come out of more than one PvP match in every twenty as a winner, than you're a damn sight better than I am.
I'm fucking horrible at PvP.
The only time I've managed wins is on my retarded pure STR/END Dorkmoon, and even then it was a pure chance victory. One-shotted what was likely a pure mage with my Dragon Greatsword+5's special attack just as he fired off his MLGS special and left me on a sliver of HP.

Thing is, I'd literally dumped every SL into STR and END. Every other stat including VIT was base.

Reload your game or go back to a bonfire and rest. Then go back to where her golden golem was and her set will be there.

Check her summon sign, then go back to the cave where you rescued her. There her hollowed out corpse will be, with the set.
If you're getting to the DLC, the portal doesn't automatically suck you, so getting the set is easy. The headdress gives you extra magic damage, but also making you take more.

I get a lot of New game + players like the guy I just killed. Oolacile town invading would be nice if I wasn't blocked from invading the second I entered by justice jerks. It's also HEAVILY populated by Dark Bead/Pursuer users and they're a fucking pain for a SL40 Darkwraith.

Well, to answer the "why?", it's because the game is best experienced blind the first time, for it's awesome exploration qualities. Knowing too much beforehand kinda ruins the fun.
As for a magic warrior, focus on dex early (to like, I dunno, 20 or so) and there's tons of good, quick weapons around. Specifically magic oriented weapons show up much later, but you can enchant your weapon with a spell for bonus damage until then, and it also makes it glow blue.

Most stats stop scaling at around 40 for most things. Not much point in going beyond that unless it's a requirement for something, and most things that need 40+ in a stat aren't worth it.
It's also not a good idea, generally, to just level like crazy in the first place, since you'll generally out-level any possible co-op partners. I find a good rule of thumb is not to go above 20 until Blightown, and then go up 10 or so for each new boss.

If you use elemental upgrade with the same type of elemental arrow you get bonus damage, I believe. Lighting Crossbow/Lightning Bolts, for instance, or Occult Bow/Moonlight Arrows.

I know what you mean, my first and second characters were pretty overleveled in some areas because I couldn't resist farming thousands of souls in the forest and the painting.
But after a while it's not that useful anymore, leveling up beomes too expensive for what it gives you. Of course you still need a decent amount of VIT and END and whatever your main stat is, but you're actually better of not spending 40k souls for two level ups and instead spend them to upgrade your gear.

The washing pole isn't a DEX weapon, it's a DEX/STR, it won't scale really well if you only go DEX, even 2H. It has a nice range though.

Anyway, I wouldn't recommend the Estoc or the BSS as a primary DEX weapon without a buff. Try using it with the Leo ring (it stacks with PW, but PW is shit, if you get hit once and your opponent stays defensive, you're pretty much fucked).
Get something stronger like a katana.
Also, parry spamming like a faggot with the heater shield and riposting with the DST is cheap, people will tend shitting WotG at you if you keep doing that. I personally think parry spammers aren't better than BS fishers and I don't mind using WotG and GC against that kind of faggots

Parry spamming is even worse than backstab fishing. I use it to get around greatsword mashers.
