/sci/, Can you help me understand the phenomena that appears in this image? This image was taken by a LEICA Digilux 2 according to the exif data. Upon seeing ADOBE Photoshop CS2 under the software heading of exif description, I wondered if this image was "photoshopped" to any degree. After a reverse image search, I found that the image exists on the official National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration website: >Hurricane Katrina’s large eye-wall taken by a NOAA P-3 hurricane hunter pilot on Aug. 28, 2005 http://www.noaanews.noaa.gov/storie s2005/s2496.htm http://www.noaanews.noaa.gov/storie s2005/images/katrina-eyewall-4-08-2 8-2005.jpg What could explain this large white streak that rises above the eyewall? A waterspout like vortex? Particle beam satellite in orbit?

>>6002747 >A waterspout like vortex? Particle beam satellite in orbit? ...a line smudged in the window. I can tell from the difference in focus and from having seen quite a few smudges in my time.

>>6002766 Pretty much this. If you're looking for something interesting about this shit look into why the eye wall had so much lightning compared to other hurricanes.
