Dear /sci/entists, do any of you around here have experience or knowledge of studying hard sciences (such as mathematics or physics) on a terminal degree level? Any good or bad occurences? How are the people? Pros and cons? Long story short, I am planning on getting myself a second University -level degree, but I haven't entirely decided on the specifics. Obviously my main reasons are not monetary and therefore low employment rates and wages are not an issue (I got that covered already). I was thinking about acquiring a general degree in Physics or specializing into nanoscience. Any other alternatives I should consider? Is it possible to switch from one closely related field to another? Any advises are much appreciated!

I find it hard to believe a potential candidate for a DSc is wasting time on /sci/

OP's bump. >>5030584 Some posts and replies around here appear reasonable enough to assume that at least a small portion of users around here have already looked into some of these matters or at least know someone else who has. Of course I could try Physforums, but I do not want to make this any bigger of a deal unless I absolutely have to. >>5030585 I know I shouldn't feed the troll, but since when is grammatical correctness considered pretentious? If you are referring to the little background that I provided, then I can reassure you that I mentioned it because it is relevant to the case, not because of me being a dick.

>>5030581 Math isn't a science. Study what you want.
