What is the longest you have gone without leaving your house/apartment? I haven't been outside for over a week now because I got depressed due to muh period and muh social awkwardness.

3 weeks or so when I was unemployed a few years ago. I'd venture to guess I was on /cgl/ for 200+ hours during that time. It was enjoyable for a week but gradually became boring.

>>9488930 2 years. I have severe depression and social anxiety. At its worst, I didn't even acknowledge my family members when they spoke to me, I just went through life as if I didn't actually exist. I'm much better than I used to be, but god damn it makes me sad thinking back on how pathetic my life used to be.

Didn't leave my house for two weeks once. Fairly certain when I was a kid I'd stay inside for over a month during summer.

>>9489161 Seriously, if it actually irks you, why not clean up a bit? You can make yourself productive and tidy up a bit without exerting too much effort. If it's gotten to the point where you are embarrassed to show off your mess of a room anonymously (well, not really since you are tripfagging), then I can only assume that it is worse than I'm imagining. Also, spiders. You leave clothes and stuff around, spiders will find it.

I really wonder how you guys can stay in your room for that long anyway. Do you never have to buy new water to drink? Or food? And don't say "I drink tap water" because that's shit in most countries. Seriously. Shit.

>>9489375 Tap water is ironically OK in America, but nobody drinks it. Most of us all buy that overpriced bottled shit instead, because "muh spring water". Grow up America. Drinking tap won't kill you, and the paranoid can get a filter. Every great pizza maker in New York City uses the tap, by the way. Pizza made with NY tap water tastes better. Fact.

There actually are some places where chlorine is put into the water here in Germany but those are, as far as I know, small, remote villages. >>9488930 7 months is my record, although I am starting up a new record right now at 2 and a half months without leaving the house. My bedroom NEETcave is being renovated right now (mold on walls) so I am stuck pottering around the downstairs of my (parents) house and sleeping on the couch for the week. Its sounds like bullshit but not being in my room for 2 days has made me start to feel even more anxious, and in a way homesick. Don't know how I would ever manage to have a life if I can't even be away from my room for 2 days without feeling like a panic attack is about to take place. I am 20, KV NEET.

3 hours later 9491389 Anonymous
to me its the other way around. If im not outside my mind starts to run wild and i get depressed. The most i've been without going out is 1 year

3 hours later 9491420 Anonymous
There was a period of 9 months, the time between when I graduated college and found a job. The only time I left the house was to go to job interviews that I applied online for, these outings occurred once every 1 or 2 months. I would put on the exact same interview outfit and awkwardly stumble outside where the sun burned my eyes and the feeling of breeze/wind was unknown to me, I would have a short "what the fuck" moment after I went outside and felt air that moved. It was pretty bad, my already not-so-great social skills plummeted and I was horribly depressed all the time. I think I only managed to get the job I have because I happened to apply to a place that was really desperate because their full time person suddenly quit and I had the right education.

>>9489700 You are too stupid to be using the internet.

6 hours later 9493029 Anonymous
>>9492104 Just the opposite. I think America is full of intelligent and creative people who can only thrive in the incredible environment of entrepreneurship we promote. I'm just pointing out a nationwide fallacy that even I admit believing at some point. I'll drink bottled water when nothing else is around, but I'm OK with drinking from fountains and taps now if they are available. I'm criticizing the culture of people who think that said bottled water is superior in any way to tap, which is not the case. Said culture does not represent all Americans, but they represent a good portion. >>9492149 Alright, I'll admit I made a mistake there. There is fluorine in fluorides, hence the name. But fluorine in the water supply is much different from fluorides in there. But that's a moot point. I can't be too stupid to be using the internet because I am using the internet right now. Therefore, I am capable of operating a computer connected to the Internet. Should I be on the internet? That's a matter of pure opinion.
