>mom was unemployed for half a year >applies to hundreds of places for basic pleb work >finds job as an office assistant >she has to input appointments into a computer program >complains to me that it is too difficult, so she says she is quitting >I ask what she doesn't understand about the program >can't remember the name >says it is too hard to learn >quits job after one week there >she doesn't like talking me to because I "think too much" My entire ancestry is constructed of simpletons, peasants, and manual labor workers. How about yours?

>Mom >Quit nursing school. >Other than honourable discharge from the US Navy. >Hasn't worked since before I was born, at least 20 years. Dad >Works offshore, electrical supervisor. >Used to be a hotrodder and racer. >Qualified to be a firefighter, emergency medical personnel, A/C technician, electrician, construction worker, auto repairman and technician. >First official, paid job was as a paper boy. Drove illegally and underaged (14) across 3 towns every day before school. He's a little bit of everything. He can fix most anything one way or another. The rest of my family, I don't know. Most of them are either dead, crazy, live far away, or some combination of those. My uncle on my dad's side works in the local salt mine, and he's the only one I know that I know his job. My ancestry has a bit of a military history. Grampa on Dad's side fought in WWII, got his back shot up by the Japanese. Grampa on Mom's side fought in Korea. I can't say I've heard of the non-military jobs of any of my ancestors besides my grandma on Mom's side; she worked at NASA back in, like, the 50s or 60s or something. She never told me the details.
