Is the redistribution of wealth, and regulating tax evasion really a bad thing?

America will tell you it's a bad thing because the top 1% who run this country are money hoarders and will lose their minds if someone takes away the billions of dollars that they will literally never spend

>>52425637 Absolute gommunism = bad From the state: Universal basic income, education until 18, healthcare, infrastructure = good Laissez faire capitalism with limits on upper wealth (Individuals don't really need hundreds of billions of personal wealth, somewhere in the tens would be a nice limit and the rest gets contributed back to society) and a safety net for the least well off.

>>52425679 It's not, most of them were given the money by someone else but what's the point of having all of that money when you'll only spend a fraction of it? They literally won't notice it's gone. Old economic models are finished and the change is coming much more rapidly than people expect. The only thing valuable will be resources. Before the 2020 election you will see programs that can generate commissioned art better than most professional artists and voice act better than most voice actors. The research to do it is already there and the incentive to automate it is high. It's just a matter of time.

>>52426219 Yeah your sarcasm about the potential to create wealth is pretty indicative of the reality of capitalism. The ones who make it big are extremely lucky, and good for them, but no person really needs that much money all to themselves. Their wealth is not proportional to their effort.

>>52425637 I can tell you right now that socialism is not going to work the way you think it will work. In the most simplest of terms, socialism is the redistribution of wealth from the individual to the state. You're advocating for the state to tax people even more than they already do, and we see how responsible they are with our money so far (trillions of dollars in debt) and you expect them to evenly distribute all that money to everyone that's less fortunate. Yea, not gonna happen. There is absolutely nothing you can do in a socialist state to influence what they do with your money. They took your money by force, it's not your money anymore. It's basically "Fuck you, we have your money now, come do something about it :^)))" with those people. They're not going to give everyone NEETbux, they're going to suck your wallet dry and redistribute the collective wealth among themselves and their friends. You're not going to see many NEETbux from this. You're not going to see the dissolution of any class structure, you will only see the exaggeration of the current class structure. There won't be any middle class, there won't be any disposable income, and there's no chance in Hell you're going to become wealthy enough to escape the forced poverty of a socialist system. You will either work in a factory for 12 hours a day or be lucky enough to be born into a wealthy family. You will be worked like a slave if socialism is ever implemented. Do you know why? Because you're just a silly tax-payer and there's absolutely nothing you can do about it. What you socialists criticize capitalism for is only exaggerated by socialism.

3 hours later 52427238 Anonymous
>>52426942 >In the most simplest of terms, socialism is the redistribution of wealth from the individual to the state You think taxation = socialism? That's even sillier than the claim that taxation = theft! Socialism (assuming we're referring to the contemporary kind not the archaic definition that was based on ownership of means of production) redistributes wealth directly according to well defined criteria, but more importantly it reduces the economic barriers (like tuition fees) that are preventing people from making themselves more productive.

3 hours later 52427313 Anonymous
>>52427238 Yes, but once you tax the civilian, how do you make sure the newly distributed wealth is used for that? Pro tip: You can't. You're a silly taxpayer, your opinion means jack shit because they have just robbed you. It's like telling a nigger who just robbed you "Hey man, go buy some condoms with that!". He's not going to buy condoms with it, he's going to buy malt liquor. Point is, it's not your money to spend. You've moved the wealth from your own pockets to someone else's. Even then, why can't you fund some sort of education charity yourself where you can fund some other guy's education? Why exactly does the government have to do that? Be the change you want in the world, friend. Give your hard earned money to some charity who will give a soul less fortunate than you a college education. :^)

3 hours later 52427389 Anonymous
>>52427313 It's the spending rather than the taxation that is the defining feature of socialism. You could look at it from an MMT perspective: the government spends the money first, which increases the amount of money in the economy. The government then has to raise taxes to avoid the currency losing its value.

3 hours later 52427473 Anonymous
>>52427389 So you're saying it's 100% ok to have a system where the *government* spends money that the civilian has no control over? You do realize that what they're spending money on isn't going to be any sort of education program or NEETbux meme, right? They're going to build factories with as little money as possible with unsafe conditions, and they're going to set up a system that forces you to work in that factory for 12 hours a day, then they'll take your money via tax, and this will sustain its self as there is no escape. Notice how when the government subsidizes things, there is bare minimum effort. Where is all that money going? Don't be foolish, it's not staying in a public reserve, it's being spent by some rich faggots on a Caribbean island. >dude expensive college lol >dude education gets u better job lol Universities are private in the US, the people who own these institutions will kick like Hell if their little scam is threatened by socialism. The government isn't going to give taxpayer money to the scammers directly, that's why they give *the student* the loan, so the student is liable for whatever bullshit the scammers pull. "Oopsie doopsies :^((( we fucked up with your loan and gave you a false idea of getting an education in our money racket, time to give us your house :^)))". It's all a giant money racket, they're only milking you dry for that juicy money. The rich kids who are born to succeed in this little system are the ones who will go to a private school with a no-bullshit approach and they'll get a job with their prestigious private education and their connections with the employers, who are inevitably a part of the elite who are subsidized by the Government, you see. It's all a big funnel, the socialists take everyone's wealth and pockets it.

>>52425679 Yeah and we typically take a little bit of everyone's money in order to keep this whole fucking system going in the first place. If the rich had any foresight they'd know they need to keep their host country stable.
