http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/State-level_new_areas_of_the_People%27s_Republic_of_China IT'S FUCKING HAPPENING Basically, China is creating modern as fuck cities out of the blue. Yeah, pic related is from '93, but they've only been amping this shit up in the past few years. As their economy grows, they'll continuously do this throughout our lifetime. I'd imagine they'll continually evolve and further innovate with each city they make. Oh, and I bet they'll send a lot of their third world jungle chinks to these cities as well You could have stopped this You didn't need to ship all your jobs to China and now it's all this

China is overrated.

Seriously, China's cities will make the entire planet's cities look third world. Just imagine if we stop pissing away all the untold amount of foreign aid we give to countries, slim down on being the world's police, and invest here.

4 min later 4769548 Anonymous
And they're all empty. You don't know OP? China has to stimulate their economy through building these useless cities in the middle of nowhere, or else the bubble bursts.

5 min later 4769559 Anonymous
Maybe once they stop taking shits on train.

>>4769545 yeah it's 80% third world now, sure. But just imagine if they keep up at this pace by time we're 80. I mean right now, fucking Pic Related makes almost all other cities look third world. Period. That's how all their cities will look like

>>4769566 Yeah but most experts agree that the growth is unsustainable. Further, a lot of Chinese manufacturing is moving out of China due to rising wages. Lastly, the environmental degradation further calls into question how great long term growth can be.

>>4769548 That's what I'm saying. I think it's a safe bet to say that these futuristic cities will be functioning by the time we're in our 80s And really, the rest of the world will be third world

You know who else is building cities? Every developed nation.

10 min later 4769614 Nutmeg
OP is full retard. They build modern cities, but they don't have people rich enough to live in them, so they are pretty much deserted. Also, outsourcing isn't that big a deal. One day china will outsource jobs to some African shit hole, and it will become the new china.

12 min later 4769625 Anonymous
>>4769585 Hmm yeah, I suppose it is silly to assume that their economy will continue without a hitch >>4769597 well yeah, if the Vegas Strip was like that throughout, then of course it'd be impressive. have you ever been to china? step outside the affluent areas of the city and you can see bonecrushing poverty worse than anything in the US or Europe. step outside the cities and it's like you've been teleported back in time 50 years. i lived in china for a year, they're the comeup but they have serious economic and social problems to deal with before they get on the same level as the US and Europe. if modern feminism and misguided liberalism can be curtailed somewhat in US and European politics we aren't leaving the top any time soon.

>>4769696 You do realize that generally a stable economy requires a large amount of youth in order to support the older generation right? The 1 child policy is going to fuck over China really bad, but if they have all these cities they can completely reverse it to lesson the blow. It will be another baby boom all over again and could lead to some pretty fantastic economic development on their part.
