Every single time. Every - single - time.

Hmm i can definitely attest to most of my male teachers being a lot cooler then the female ones. The female ones were usually bitchy or pissed off about something while the male ones were laidback and chill.

Yet another thread generalizing men to be perfect while women are retarded. I had the most bad-ass, kick-ass, awesome-as-fuck teacher in High School. She brought me from being a fucking idiot about math (couldn't even into algebra) to being a math whiz (top of class, got extra credit college prep algebra) in just one semester. The teacher was hilarious, dorky, awesome, outgoing, interactive, friendly as hell. And guess what, the teacher was a chick. Fuck you.

It's true but I HATE interactive learning. I hated it in highschool, and I hate it in college. I much prefer showing up for lectures, reading the textbook (Which i had to pay a god damn fortune for anyways) taking a test, and going home.

My best teacher was a woman, but she was middle-aged, overweight, and had grey hair. However, she taught Physics interactively and finished college when she was 19 in Germany. Her husband was some sort of aerospace engineer for the military. She was probably a rare exception.

I don't know, most of my male teachers were shit. Then again, most of my male teachers were also sports coaches, since they require coaches to teach for some reason.

I can attest to this, At least in High School. I mean having a teacher teach right from the book isnt necessary bad, but it gets fucking boring. Worst thing though is when they either use their own examples, and then have book tests, or vise versa. Its like, fuck you make up your mind Best teacher I ever had was one that took this huge ass old as shit history text book we were assigned, and on the first day, said "This book is old as hell, and boring." "I would advise you to just skim through a few chapters, and then just pay goddamn attention to me" He then grabbed a golf club and smacked it on the desk of some bitch that was texting. This guy was amazing, had to much enthusiasm, swore, didn't give a fuck, and it was impossible to fall asleep in his classes as he was hilarious and excitable. The dude was also like 6'7'' and intimidating as fuck, but nice as hell if you actually cared enough to ask a question. The first three weeks, I really contributed nothing to the class, never raised my hand or anything. So, this guy calls on me thinking that I am a good-for-nothing dumbass, and I just give an answer/my opinion or whatever. He looks at me funny, and then continues with his lecture. I got an email the following day, it was him basically telling me to get my head out of my ass and my hand up more, as the answer I gave was "eloquent". Kinda rambling now, but he was a bro teacher.

I had quite a few female teachers that didn't even bother trying to hide that they were favoring female students but I've never seen a male teacher who favored guys. The worst part was the girls who knew exactly how to take advantage of the situation. >girls chatting and chatting, inane gossip, nothing school related, on and on and on >guy says one fucking sentence >NO TALKING GO TO DETENTION

It seems like so few men actually go into and get hired into K-12 education, so that ones that do and actually get hired are usually damn good at what they do.

I had a lot of shitty male teachers and a lot of good female ones, but my best teacher was a man and my worst was a woman. The best teacher was for a programming class. He was a fucking bro, and didn't mind us playing Quake with each other as long as we got our work done. One day he even ordered pizza for the whole class. My worst was my 11th grade English teacher. She was old and couldn't remember names for shit, gave a fuckload of essay assignments, and had the most boring selection of novels for us to read, 80% of them being those 50s-era white-guilt books. You know the kind.

I was always the guy who did well on tests without doing the homework. It wasn't like a rebellion thing, I just didn't see much point to doing the homework if I could do well on tests without it. All through my schooling, this seemed to really offend female teachers. They would get passive aggressive with me and make snide remarks about how I'm not going to be successful. Male teachers would either not care or they would talk to me about why it is that I'm not applying myself. Females: Emotional and petty, argue with children Males: Actually focus on the things that matter

Yeah I always notice that female teachers are NEVER enthusiastic about their subject. They never move around, look excited, ANYTHING to show their kids they love what they do. The male teachers I've had have really been energetic, fun, genius.

I had a decently-cool History teacher back in middle school. As far as actually teaching goes, she was pretty terrible, and I don't think we really ever learned anything constructive from that class. Still, she did some cool things over the year. We got to watch a ton of movies like The Patriot, Glory, etc. which was pretty awesome for a middle school class. Also, at one point, she brought in a deactivated musket (this was immediately after 9/11 so I was pretty fucking surprised she was able to do that), and let everyone in the class hold it and look down the sights. Funny little story, actually. I was the only one in that class who was able to shoulder the weapon correctly (everyone put the stock between their cheek and shoulder). Seeing as I was in the middle of the classroom and it was pretty much impossible to raise the weapon without muzzle-sweeping somebody, when I brought the weapon to bear, the gun pointed at some black girl for a millisecond, and she freaked out. The look on her face was absolutely priceless.

Most of the good profs I've had were men. However, I had one really good female prof for my summer course. Goddamnit she was fine as hell too. I'd give one of my limbs to plow that.
