It doesn't matter how godly the writers may be, the concept of Dash teaching Twilight to fly is wrong in itself. I'll try to explain what's on my mind.
Unicorn, pegasus, earth pony, born one, always one. Twilight suddenly getting wings and gaining the perks of a pegasus undermines her friend's lives greatly. Hell, any pony's life. Alicorns were supposed to be the unique, rare species that only the two princesses which raise the sun and moon every day were. Then Cadance came and much rage was had for breaking lots of people's understanding of the show's world structure. Rainbow Dash has nothing going for her except for her wings. Up until now she could've at least cheered herself up by flying while Twilight couldn't. Imagine how would you feel if your best friend suddenly gained the ability which made you unique. Granted, RD can still "go fast" but that doesn't help much. The same goes for the rest of mane6, it's a slap to the face.
My point being, I never thought of Twilight as the main character. The show was centered around the main group of 6 ponies. Now it's going to be Twilight-centered. They might as well rename the show to "Racial inferiority is magic"

It's already been proven that Celestia and Luna raising celestial bodies is nothing special. They are put into that position because it is the easiest path.
