'sup, twinkie munchers I have a question for you all: is there a subject which could be considered non-poetic or is all fair game? I was wondering the other day, because I read a shitty poem about a dude who spoke as if he was a vegetable on a plate, and then I though "hold your horses, poetry can be done for ALL subjects and themes as the poet wishes", so I was wondering if that is the case. I mean, can one write poems about any body part, any historical event, any feeling, etc. and still be considered "poetic"? cheers

Absolutely. There are certain things which are off limits, in the sense that it would not be poetic to write about them, for example: * Feces * Pedophilia * Mass murder * Fatsos on electric trolleys @ Wal-Mart The list is not exhaustive, though.
