Dude, I'm like all political now. I got this kick-ass Che poster on my dorm wall and I'm about to read the communist manifesto. I'm also a vegetarian because, like, animals are living things too... But I don't believe in objective morality because of my existential crisis. ... Thanx Neechee...I think? I haven't read him yet, but I'm holding him accountable. Anyone know what time the revolution starts? I hope it's soon, I don't want to miss the new Walking Dead episode.

>>3498770 >Thoughts on Karl Marx and Che Guevara? Be a little more specific, please. As for Marx, I have my reservations about him because I have read Stirner, I find it interesting how the kind of Marxism that is influential in Cultural Studies (Gramsci, Althusser) relates to the Stirner-Marx 'debate'. You can situate it roughly in terms of the base-superstructure metaphor (and never you mind what a Marxist says explicitly about how they relate to it, they are professional liars, you determine their relation to the base-superstructure metaphor from everything else they write) and compare that to Marx' critique of Stirner, the latter's supposed failure to extricate himself from Idealism (when in fact it was only Stirner who enabled Marx to even conceive of this as a necessity). As for Che, I like the idea of focalismo, the T-shirts, not so much.

>>3498786 >marx is a faggot with half-thought-out oh the revolution is coming. he was right about the core of his ideas happening. that distribution of wealth would get worse and worse over time and eventually it'll get so bad that enough people will be pissed enough about it. it's happening. slowly. surely. for che i suggest "che" by jon lee anderson. probably THE best book on che.

>>3498786 >marx is a faggot with half-thought-out, unpractical ideas You will need to provide a citation for the homosexuality claim, and a detailed account of whyi revolutionary insights like the 'Critique of Surplus Value', 'Commodity Fetishism,' 'The Law of the Tendency of the Rate of Profit to Fall,' 'Distinction between use value and exchange value,' 'Dialectical materialism,' 'Division of Profit Into Interest and Profit of Enterprise' were 'half-thought-out, unpractical ideas.'

Marx is indisputably a genius and incredible thinker, whose various works are staggering in their scope and detail. Che was some alpha with a gun and a cigar. >>3498786 Most of his ideas in fact 90% of his ideas were about how capitalism functions. Are you trying to tell us that capitalism is unpractical?

The weirdest thing about Che is the adoption of some of his ideas in the Tory party in the UK. Actually, that's one of the weirdest things about Cameron, how readily one can often compare him to various communistos.

Marx was Marx, the guy who said stuff in history happens twice, first as tragedy and then as farce. Trotsky was the interesting, heroic, brilliant, cruel tragedy and Che was the overhyped, posey, dull, ineffectual, even crueler farce. That's all there is to it. >>3498815 I have. What's up? Hitchens made the claim that Marx's best writing was his body of work about the American Civil War. I'm not a Marx expert and don't feel comfortable firmly seconding that verdict, but I'm inclined to agree from what I have read. >>3499008 This intrigues me. Tell me more.

2 hours later 3499033 Anonymous
>>3499026 And to be clear, "cruel" is referring to them and their abuses of state power, and in Guevara's case his personal enjoyment of violence, and not the manner of their executions. Realized that could be easily misread.

To bad Karl Marx didn't know shit about economics. Not distinguishing between limited vs unlimited resources which fucks up everything. Che Guevara feels like some things teenagers likes because they want to piss of there parents and be edgy. But then they grow up and realize that it might not have been what they thought.

I can make a durable and efficient bong in 5 minutes. It takes much longer than that, however, to roll a pussy joint that burns in 20 seconds and barely gets you buzzed.

>>3501997 >a bunch of leftists That ideology. Does it hurt your ears when people rightly refer to Marx as one of the greatest economists in history? Because he was. Nobody is claiming that he understood "perfectly" how "it" works, and Marx would be the first person to revise or change his opinion under the light of new evidence, such was his ruthless and unscrupulously empirical work ethic.

>>3500614 I think you just roll like shit mate Am I alone here in saying that one of the greatest satisfactions in ones life is to roll and then smoke the perfect joint?

22 hours later 3502035 Anonymous
>>3502023 The perfect joint is indeed a fine thing to create. Despite what the Murricans say, it needs a correct ratio of fairly dry tobacco and finely ground weed.

22 hours later 3502054 Anonymous
>>3502035 Very much so. And the mix is only half the fun. The technique is an artform in itself.
