I tried reading Don Quixote but the Puttman translation was shit. Until i find a decent one, what are some good works on chivalry?

read the Edith Grossman translation. It's the closest you'll get to a universally accepted translation and, speaking from personal experience, it's amazing

How good is the 1612 Shelton translation? I have the Harvard edition and that's what it is.

Someone recommended the Grossman edition as well in a previous thread. Translations are important but make sure to get an annotated edition. Unless you are familiar with Spanish medieval literature and culture.
