I don't understand this kind of thing and I see it everywhere, from random forums to even actual documents. Why would anyone select "transgender" as a gender? If "transgender" describes the state of your brain having the opposite (or wrong) sex compared to your body, then shouldn't they be picking what they identify as, that is, any option except that one?

>>5010380 I agree, it's weird. I'm mtf and the only place I'd actually specify it in the gender option is if I were on a dating website. In that case it's kind of a big deal, but otherwise I don't identify as trans, I identify as a woman. That said though, some have their status as trans people closer to their core identity I suppose. It's not like it's a problem if that's the way they choose to label themselves on the Internet.

>>5010380 Actually some people do define themselves as transgender. It's a good way to describe yourself if you feel neither male or female. And yes, it's different from genderless.
