>found online a transgender identity My preferred gender pronouns are they/their. I never felt like i fit into the mold of 'girl', even with a very liberal definition of 'girl', but i also do not fully think of myself as a 'boy'. I have always felt and been this way. However, i only knew the gender binary of he/she and it wasn't until these past few months that i found a language to describe my gender identity. I ask that you please respect this new language. I have not changed. The descriptive language has. I still identify with my vagina, my estrogen, my curves, my giggle, my skirts, my earrings, my eccentric colors. This is not a denial of my 'feminine' attributes. I do not think of my body hair, board shorts, boots, short hair, 'oversized' jackets as an attempt at 'being a boy'. These things are all a part of my identity, an identity that does not fit within the gender binary, a transgender identity. I am still the same friend you had a week ago, same person you dated a year ago, same sibling you have had all your life. I am simply asking for you to call me something other than she, girlfriend, sister. Please call me they, partner, sibling. >seems reasonable to me What do we think, legbuts? 2tumblr4lyfe or basically okay way to not be part of the patriarchy?

>>3011740 >trying to not be tumblr >speaks of the patriarchy literally trying way too fucking hard anon. No one cares about your pronouns, just dont get angsty when people dont use them because they're overtly annoying.

>>3011752 It's not me, for serious. I'm a giant fat sack, for one thing. So what do you say? "fuck no, you're a chick, get over it" >?

>>3011740 >I never felt like i fit into the mold of 'girl' Soon as you realize that there is no mold, you'll stop being such a tumblr-tier asshole.

>feel >i feel >no dysphoria Yet another dumbass convinced that identifying as non-binary isn't just reinforcing the idea that women must be ultra-feminine.

>>3011759 What do you say to what? If someone has preferred pronouns and they tell you them politely, ok you can follow them if you want since they were nice. But they shouldn't expect everyone around them to willingly oblige all the time. Like really, if the biggest problem in a persons life is being referred to as another pronoun, they're privileged pieces of shit so I don't care for obliging to their shit. I typically don't hang out with those type of cunts thoo

>>3011773 >>3011776 I'm sorry. But it does seem bascially reasonable, if a little silly. Should we applaud this or just ignore?

21 min later 3011815 Anonymous
>>3011805 It's not reasonable. It is a woman that thinks that having masculine mannerisms or hobbies makes her transgender. She has no dysphoria. She is not transgender.

I just think that language is overhyped these days. People focus too much on semantics and less on conveyed meaning derived from contexts. It's like the word "fag"- you can call someone a "faggot" and it's not homophobic but you can also use it in homophobic contexts. If someone looks like a woman, or at least I recognise them as a woman I should be allowed to use "her" "she" etc. They're just fucking words. The amount of times I've called feminine asian dudes "miss" at work is astounding but they don't really care. They correct me and then we laugh and then we forget about it. Unfortunately the human condition is typified with binary genders (seeing as anything other than M or F is technically an abnormality) so people should be allowed to refer to others how they wish, as long as no offence is intended. People need to get the rods out of their asses with respect to how others talk to them.

>>3011840 Also, if I'm ever requested to use non-gender specific pronouns I make sure I use "it" "that" etc. because anyone not identifying as a specific sex is on the same level as amoeba

>>3011815 Excuse please, but they are clearly not female presenting. That's trans on the face of it. all that suff about loving the vagoo and whatever is gross but they are clearly not what we call female in any sense.

If you need more than one syllable to describe your gender you're a tumblrsexual, full-stop.
