Anyone notice how all the best Disney films are set in unpopular places like Iraq or Africa? But all the shitty ones are set in popular places like France or Greece? You think it's just coincidence?

Are you implying that oriental places have better stories to be butchered by Disney?

What's your point? That Disney is run by cultural marxists trying to insinuate an image of "unpopular" countries as interesting and desirable in an attempt to encourage western audience that third world immigration is beneficial and culturally enriching?

>>9006358 I personally dislike Hunchbak of the Notre Dame the most of all Disney movies. Not because it's the shittiest, but because it had the most potential and blew it all. The tone of the movie is just... wrong. It wants to tell a tragic and adult story, but simply tries too hard to be funny and childish. It wants to appease everyone and thus ends up appeasing nobody.

>>9006451 It would have been better if those fucking gargoyles had been cut out. Or if you just imagine they're all in Quasimodo's head. Besides, any faults are saved by the best motherfucking villain song ever - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KwRv PkzH-Qk

>>9006496 They were so close to having them be not real, there's one scene after a song they sing where everything turns back to normal and it looks like they're not real but at the end... they're killing the soldiers they have to be real.

11 min later 9006542 Anonymous
>>9006496 >Or if you just imagine they're all in Quasimodo's head. FUCK YES. THIS. It could've worked if they were just cut out of the climax of the film, then their reality would've been ambiguous. I agree on hellfire though, but that song only showcases the lost potential of the film.

Tangled and Brave were set in Germany in Scotland and they were both pretty good

i thought it was funny lion king featured animals instead of black people. there are no black people in disney cartoons. regardless, brown people mythology and civilization is interesting and mystical, so it's always fun for storytelling and iraq may not be a happening place now but back in the time aladdin happened baghdad was relatively developed as a city.

best one they did was set in Britain, of course it was set in a time when half of all Brits werent named Muhammad

16 min later 9006649 Anonymous
>>9006610 I actually liked that film. Probably helped that it had the best Disney villain in years, with an awesome song - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yZAY -78zhmw Seriously, in Disney movies, why is the villain song always the best? Mulan is the only exception, but the villain didn't even have a song in that.
