Does the UK have a TV channel analogous to BBCA, i.e. a channel that broadcasts American shows?

Channel 4 I heard does a good job.

>>8947034 It depends, TV in the UK tends to be split between DVB and cable/sky, on DVB there used to be a couple of US news channels, but I think they're gone now, and it's fairly common for the main networks to run syndicated US content, a few like E4 run quite a lot of it, but there's nothing dedicated to it. If you go into cable/sky then there's a lot.

They might as well just rename BBC America the Gordon Ramsey channel. Although they have some decent programming.

>>8951919 lol yeah...On a board that encourages you to ask about other people's countries... Notice how 4chan's quality of posting has steadily declined since more and more yuropoors have been finding out about this site? 4chan was absolute god tier back in 2005-2008, when it was all mainly americans

Though, I stopped browsing in 2010 because it was so shitty, so it might've increased since then, dunno >>8952095 honestly, we could only have Americans browsing this board and we'd still keep ourselves interested - it's split up into 50 states, so there's enough political discussion to keep us occupied like 90% of the topics on /pol/ are threads from Americans discussing local politics within their state or general American politics

>>8952062 >Europeans >Having anything at all to do with /b/'s decline You've been on /sp/ too much you stupid fuck. If flags were up on /b/ you'd still find that 90% of the posters were American. The problem is that 4chan went from being an anime imageboard for NEET losers in 2005 to a secret club for 14 year old plebs who thought they were hot shit because they prevented some pre-teens from entering a virtual pool once by 2007. Hasn't recovered since. Meanwhile, most of the other boards, which would have been impossible to have in 2005 due to low traffic, are now thriving centers of somewhat reasonable and entertaining discussion.

>>8952164 >You've been on /sp/ too much you stupid fuck. bullshit, it doesn't have anything to do with AMERICA FUCK YEAH The amount of people who speak English as a second language posting on here can be traced to the amount of shitposting that occurs, it's pretty simple their inferior grasp on the english language means they'll be less witty and entertaining when it comes to topics. Think about it, notice how French posters are typically hated on here? Notice how their grasp on the English language is notably shitty? I'm sure in whatever chan France has, French posters are great, but on here it's less so >>8952188 >dane talking about reading comprehension pic related >you just make it out to be more than it was yeah but if you agree that it wasn't AS shitty as it is now, I don't know why you'd be so adamant in arguing with me I mean, everything will always be shitty, it's just that it was less so then
