Swede here, me and a couple of mates are thinking of going go australia for a couplea months, and I'm thinking, anyone know just HOW easy it is to find a job as a foreigner there?? How much does food cost? Shit like that, how much does it cost to survive a month there and all

>Sounds like America,
Not even close, the Cost of living in the US is VERY low. I had a job arranged here so I don't know what the job search is like. Also, you get paid a lot in America.

sounds about right.

as for unskilled jobs, easy as to find, no problem. skilled jobs on the other hand are very difficult, not so much as to find but to get them.

it's all expensive. Here in America I can get a 16 pack of beer for $15.95, it's like thirty AUD in Melbourne.

pound of lean ground beef cost,
probably about $7. you get 3 litres of milk for $5. potatoes are cheap enough, a couple of dollars for a kilo. it helps to know where to shop.

>drugs
America is #1 in illegal drug quality, price, and consumption. It's the one thing we can really be proud of.
>booze
Depends on the state. Some have state controlled liquor stores and there are "dry" counties that don't sell any alcohol at all.
>hookers
They're all syphilitic black women.
>nightclubs

If you wanna have a good time, just buy some sweet drugs and go to one of our many parks.

>>8297940
becos we get paid so much. the minimum wage is about $15 an hour for unskilled labourers, makes sense everything else is expensive in comparison.
also dem guvmn't taxes alcohol like cunts, effectively doubles the price of all booze. clubs ain't so bad in smaller towns, but most shit is way overpriced.

>Drugs
Expensive. Cannabis and ecstasy are pretty easy to find (cannabis especially), psychedelics are quite rare.
>Hookers
The only place I've seen streetwalkers is in Kings Cross, Sydney. There are legal brothels here in Brisbane, for example: http://www.sensationsonspine.com.au /page/services/default.asp
>booze
See for yourself:
http://liquorland.com.au/
Spirits are very expensive here (heavily taxed), Beer and wine are much cheaper.
>nightclubs
Alcohol is even more expensive in clubs, but there's nothing wrong with the quality of nightclubs here. Clubs here are generally not exclusive like they are in some places (they let pretty much anyone in, some places do have a dress code though).
