USA 90s.
Best USA ever and at its best.
Jordan, Jackson, action movies, the true American dream, american culture spreading like a machine etc (complete the list)... The good old days... Pic related.
Unfortunately, the American dream was completed in 2000 especially in 2001 after the terrorist attacks.
The wheel turns. It is sad.
5 min later 7796514 Anonymous
A) The American dream, depending on how you define it, was never real for many people.
B) US movies in the 90s were not that good
C) During the 90s we were experiencing a massive crime wave. People thought, like always, the social contract was disintegrating, society was crumbling and so on. Race relations in the US were as bad as ever. Drugs were becoming more and more of a problem.
My point isn't really that things are great now, but rather that the 90s weren't as great as you seem to be remembering them. Jordan was awesome though, I'll give you that.

Oh, the label is accurate. The people who were edgy teenagers in the early 90s are now coming up on their 40s. The ones who still wear their old t-shirts, the "true believers", tend to be just as obnoxious and drug-addled as they were then.
The rest of the US got out of that funk and grew up; it purged us of horrible 80's music and, for that, I am thankful. Although it does seem like the 1980's just popped right back up again...
