I've always felt regret at skyscrapers in London. Not that they look particularly bad, but they just seem oddly out of place to me. Paris does a very well job with their skyscraper placement, away from all the old buildings that color the city, but still visible and iconic together. I know they can't just place a skyscraper over a historic building or district, but still.
