As much shit as US gets they did a pretty good job with their constitution and bill of rights when it comes to personal civil liberties. To be fair at this point there's no big differences between most western countries except in minor things like alcohol purchasing and television permits and such.

singapore is honestly the country with the most freedoms >and they're not even allowed to chew gum True "freedom" doesn't exist.

1 hours later 7622163 Anonymous
I find talking about freedom as some kind od civil rights system quite confusing. The real freedom exists on a personal level and can be defined as being free of needs and desires. Thus the ultimate freedom can be possible only after death. In life we can only try to get near by proper selfcontrol and awarness of imperfections of ourselves. So in most cases, relligion makes you more free than civilisation of consumption.

>>7620658 Where is the most free country? It depends on the definition of freedom. For example, if security of a city is poor, behavior of people is limited. In that sense, Japan is great deal of freedom. I have not encountered a robbery even once in Japan. So, I can walk freely even midnight. Also, Japan is free economically. For example, business freedom, labor Freedom, personal property rights. According to the report, Singapore is overtaking Japan. However, Singapore has strict laws. So, I think that Japan is a free country quite in Asia.

Freedom is proportionate to how many guns the people of a given country own. America is easily the freest country on the planet with Serbia coming in as a strong second.

>>7624054 Yes, of course. Japan is not class society. On the other hand, in India, there is the "caste" system. In China, peasants can not be immigrate to cities. Japan is not socialist country. In the socialist countries, ownership of private property is limited. For example, people can not buy a land. Only renting. And, Japan has high level of medical care. This is also one of freedom. Because, if you get sick, your body can not move "freely". (However, in Japan, there is also portion are not free. In particular, for foreigners, high price, language, and custom.)
