Hey Georgians of /int/!! (if you guys even come here) What can you all tell me about your country? What do you like? What do you feel about Russia? One last thing, can you tell me a bit about your language. I think it's very interesting and not often mentioned.

I've seen a couple of georgians on /int. They seemed adeqate enough to communicate nicely with. As far as I remember Georgia slowly but surely becomes a rather good and cozy country with no corruption nor high crime range. Russians feel alright about Georgians despite the conflict between us. I believe they also differ policy from inhabitants. I've no idea about the language, but they have quite cool names.

If I remember correctly, about a month ago they had a big human rights issue where some shit went down in a prison, and the general populous thought it was an outrage. Forgotten if a change happened in politics, or if more human rights-conscious laws were introduced

first of all, georgian language isn't Indo-Europian. some old crazyfuck historians believe that it's related to old sumerian langugage. (what the fuck)
other old crazyfuck historians believe that it's related to basque, because we share some words, some basque names is similar to georgian names.
to be honest, i don't know much about language,and i believe no one knows exactly.

you can visit old medieval churches and custles. you can go to eastern georgia visit medieval city which is called "Sighnagi" and there you can make your own wine or drink some. also you can go to Gudauri or Bakuriani if you love skiing.hotels are cheap as fuck. also you should visit our national parks.
if you visit Tbilisi make sure you go to museums,where you can see our national treasure, old golden swords,orthodox icons and shit like that.
also you can go to Batumi,West Georgia, the city itself is awesome, it looks like old western europian city with modern buildings. but seaside and beach is awful and polluted.
also, you can go to Svaneti,North-west Georgia, where you can see old mysterious watch towers and castles, and be a part of old pagan rituals.
People are friendly as fuck, if you run out of food and money, just knock on someons door, say i'm foreigner and they will feed the fuck out of you.

There won't be a war for Georgia, because Russia isn't going to do something stupid like invade Georgia again, especially after the US issued the warning. And it wasn't non-binding. It was an agreement to treat Georgia, in most circumstances, as if they were already a member of NATO and it strengthened our currently standing individual alliance with them.
