I can't really say much about the women though, didn't really have the chance to properly meet an Irish girl. I mostly talked to spanish and French women who were also studying there.

No, it was an arrangement my school had with some school near Dublin. I did stay with a host family. They were a 65 year old couple with their sons living out of the house. The mom was an ex-chef and the father looked exactly like Nicholas Cage. He passed away because of cancer a few years ago, poor fellow.

I don't know, I didn't go there. We did however hire a bus to visit the Aran Islands, which appears to be farther from Dublin than Belfast. It took us around 4 hours to get there, it's not that long.

It's full of Dubliners. It's like an English city planted in Ireland, it's a mini-London with the ego and inflation to match but without any of London's actual grandeur or success.
At least Belfast is fun. Dublin is overhyped and expensive.

Yeah, Irish infrastructure was actually more coordinated before independence. It was all progressively collectivised, taken over by the state, and gradually eroded down to the most crucial links over several decades. It's only recently that it's started to get substantially better.
>>7010795
How is that our fault? We don't like them either.

Belfast is backwater and complete shit. I don't know, what else can I say? Everytime there's a thread concerning it on here people from there say as much.
It saw its heyday many years ago. Due to conflict, not being able to change with the times, no opportunities (and the good people leaving to other countries to find some) Belfast and Northern Ireland in general are shit.
