My boss is Lebanese (maronite), and some of my co-workers too. I don't have a bad opinion of them. They are educated and get along very well with the rest of us. They are a bit like Jews in that they are very good 'hommes d'affaires' and pretty succesful. They are less standofish than them though.

>>6337649 The chicken or the egg? Which could help which? A lot of restaurants with Israeli titles and flags in your area could help bridge us closer! There are a lot of Lebanese restaurants with national symbols in the north, which felt nearly all of the aggression that came from Lebanon historically. They're still doing great business and don't suffer attacks or name calling.

True Lebanese (those who descent from Phoenicians) are nice. The semetic afro-arabs citizens from Lebanon, who aren't so different from the rest of arabic republic aren't seen good at all.

1 hours later 6337992 Anonymous
For some reason they own a lot of restaurants here, and that's generally the only place you see Lebanese immigrants. They don't commit crimes, they cook alright food, contribute to the local economy, and keep to themselves. So generally nobody here has a problem with them.

1 hours later 6338017 Anonymous
They are not many but they make awesome food. That's it.

>>6338017 Unfortunately the Lebanese immigrants here have stuck to fast food, so the food they make it just OK. Great food to eat when drunk or high, but nothing to write home about. I'd like to try real Lebanese food someday.

There tends to be tears and crying over the Lebanese community in Australia, but when compared to many other immigrants, they are amongst the best (in my experience). Nice flag, too. Like Austria, but with more forests.

I know of one Lebanese family here. They run a company that sells food and supplies and stuff to local pizzerias. Thing is they had an turnover of about 4 million SEK last year. WAY to much for that company, so it's know they're running some sort of illegal shit, like most "hard working" immigrants. Well, at least they do pay some taxes.

>How are Lebanese immigrants seen in your coutry ? I'm not really sure. They're probably disliked by redneck white trash types who dislike all Middle Easterners on principle, but I doubt the majority of Americans have any problem with Lebanese immigrants. Especially not ones who know anything about the Middle East and know Lebanon and Jordan are more liberalized countries. I've eaten at a Lebanese restaurant at a few times, and that's the sum total of my experience with Lebanese immigrants. Good food. No way to know for sure that the people working there are genuine Lebanese people though. For instance, sometimes you have Japanese / Chinese restaurants and they just hire any kind of Asian worker because they know Americans can't tell the difference. Lebanese people here on /int/ all seem very friendly.
