how to fix the EU, make it function better and how it's supposed to? I think removing lazy britshits from the union is a good start, what else?

I think making breach of EU contracts actionable before the EU Court of Justice would be a good start. Most problems we have today wouldn't be as bad if everyone would've adhered to the things they agreed on. Germany is probably the main offender here.

>>6008551 Do you elect your minister of finance? Don't get me wrong, I'm all for an overhaul of the institutions. Making the Commission elected by the European Parliament would be good enough as well. That's one of the bad things as well. No one cares for the parliament, even though it's the one EU institution which we have direct influence on. Indirect, we of course control the EU Council as well, as it is made up of elected national representatives.

>>6008695 Our external debt is nearly 400% which, although it's embarrassingly high, doesn't really put much burden on the EU because we still have a good economy. A fun fact I came across when I was looking up our debt is that Luxembourg's is 3,443% of their GDP (wat), but then again, it is a tiny country. >>6008733 Most British people view the EU as something which creates crazy laws, over-taxes people and is generally just a burden to Britain. 1. Move all EU institutions to Strassbourg 2. Uniformity, make the European Council the head of the executive, the Parliament the head of the legislative and the ECJ the head of the judiciary. The Council of Ministers still meets in relevant fields, but make the Commission submissive towards the European Council 3. Work towards European assimilation. A unified foreign policy and unified army would be a good start. 4. European Federation is born. Brb dominating your global market.

I hate my people sometimes, too many listen to the likes of the Sun, and the Daily Fail. I support the EU, but all our newspapers ever print about it are among the following headlines: >EU wants to implement crazy retard law! >EU wants to flood Britain with immigrants! >EU TAKIN' ALL ARR JERRBS! etc, etc. It's pretty much all bullshit, but as long as these retard newspapers sell, there will be idiots who will buy, and believe.

>>6012687 that's my point, pretty much everything bad here gets blamed on the EU, when I see it in newspapers it pisses me off because I know that someone, somewhere, is going to believe it. However the new generation tends to be more open-minded about Europe, and less nationalist, so there's hope that these anti-EU sentiments will die off.
