Communism made your people less open that many other Europeans, but still the food is good and nobody was a dick so 10/10. Captcha: oyashg gage >oyashg >oyashgedre >egészségedre

1. I've only been in Budapest but it was quite nice. 2. I drank two days in a row with some Hungarians in a local trucker bar. Funny enough, they actually brought up the Treaty of Trianon and felt that I might sympathize with them because the evil Slavs took our land too. And Palinka was good, even if it was some cheap and shitty variety.

>>5809403 >you steal our copper. you mean gypsys steal your copper. I wonder why people cannot remember metal stealing is a very traditional gypsy thing, no Hungarian or Romanian does that. It's especially disappointing from you, Austria.

>>5809431 No, Hungarians steal our copper. They get caught often and don't look like Gypsies at all. Also Hungarian names. Gypsies steal iron scrap...and organs. I can of course tell you apart, don't worry. Besides, Gypsies simply lack the logistics to steal spools of copper cable that often weigh a ton or more.

>>5809460 You can't always tell the difference, only the way they speak and if they speak Romani. Gypsys mixed with Hungarians (well, very little, but it happened) and there are Roma and Romani people, those are different in appearance and behaviour. Also many gypsys have Hungarian names now because they were forced during communism.

Also: >That glorious Lake Balaton >That glorious Tokaji >Them tongue twisters (egészségedre) 2. Yeah, you have a lot of hot girls. The stereotype of everyone being depressed in their daily lives seemed to hold true (at least in my experience). I really enjoyed some deep conversations though, compared to the shallow banter you usually have in the States.

Met one Hungarian guy who was surprisingly white during a party at my friend's in Loldon. We were the only to stay alive and consume rests of the alcohol. Also immense hangover was survived with that dude by eating kebabs and consuming 0,33 discount Stellas from Tesco. We still communicate sometimes. Damn we were so smoshed our eyeballs turned yellow next day.

I've been to Budapest for several days and seen some tourists sites. We have also took train to a small town. we talked to some people in english and heard that days are tough. we saw many hard working people on weekdays. we think it's a cool country, with history, industry and spirit. we went there 2 years ago during summer though.

>>5809651 > I really enjoyed some deep conversations though, compared to the shallow banter you usually have in the States This. While I might be sometimes annoyed how closed and mopey people are here I was god damn annoyed when I met americans, especially the ones in New York and California. I never imagined one can talk so much and say so little while bringing up so much supposedly deep bullshit. I mean, I had some secretariat chicks telling me how they are in "deep soulsearching about themselves rearraging their personalities" and workmates telling me how they always dreamed about this, their deepest fear is that etc. No, stop that. You are oversharing, I dont care, you shouldnt say that, especially you rattle on how worried about your children you are and how do you respect me for listening your bullshit and call me a "deep, caring person" yet you refuse to give me a ride of eight blocks. You are talking about shit openly after a week of aquaintance that should only be spoken amongst slightly inebriated people after half a decade of friendship and that takes all the weight away and anything you might say is essentially worthless drivel. Oh, and been to Maine and New England, land of the supposedly closed and quiet yankess. Yeah, quiet my ass, I had to listen stories about some old geezers operation and ranting how he had the shits in vietnam after drinking contraband beer. I have met lots of decent people in america but god damn, the average american has so much to say about so little.

Yes, as Erasmus students and tourists in Kraków, I've been twice to your country too and liked it very much, made an IWO thread you know on what board. I noticed more people started using English than before, earlier I had an impression German had been more popular or better taught, so communication was better. Nice and helpful people, girls were gorgeous, gypsies were more tamed than before, country landscape was chill, drinks were had. Love you, guys
