On 16 September 1994 in Ayia Napa, Cyprus, British soldiers Allan Ford, Justin Fowler, and Geoffrey Pernell attacked, abducted, raped, and murdered Danish tour guide Louise Jensen. Jensen and her Cypriot boyfriend were riding a motorbike when they were hit by a jeep driven by the drunk soldiers Ford, Fowler, and Pernell. Having beaten Jensen's boyfriend to the ground, the soldiers abducted Jensen, whereafter she was repeatedly raped and repeatedly beaten with a spade, leading to her death.[1] Finally she was buried in a shallow grave. Jensen's body was found several days later. Due to the soldiers' abuse and to the sun the body was in such a condition that only Jensen's silver ring identified her.

>After the British Army surrended at Kut (in modern day Iraq), in April 1916, the Ottomans forced the British POWs to embark upon a brutal "death march" to POW camps in Anatolia, during which the prisoners were forced to march under the scorching hot sun while being deprived of water, food and medical care while constantly being whipped by the Kurdish and Arab tribesmen the Ottoman state had hired to guard them; those who faltered on the "death march" were shot on the spot.[89][101] >In the evening, the men on the death march were given biscuits to eat and water to drink. The only reason why the guards kept their charges alive was to rape them and during the course of the death march all of the POWs were repeatedly gang-raped >According to the book 'Battle on the Tigris' by Ron Wilcox, Officers reported stories of 'young solders of the Hampshire and Norfolk [regiment] being repeatedly buggered by Turkish soldiers and sick men being buried by the road while still alive'. >One Australian who after return from captivity in 1921 went on a mad spree in Launceston (Tasmania) which ended with his taking his own life with a pistol. When the inquest was held his former commanding officer came from melbourne to give evidence ad stated that he had been "due to his youth and appearance, a particuar subject of foul abuses by certain Turkish guards."

>>138014069 Seeing that the Ottomans would stand their ground, Napoleon sent three of his squares to march out, in between the Ottomans and their camp. Simultaneously, he sent 300 men into the camp, with orders to set fire to all the tents and make a show of seizing supplies and camels. Upon seeing the destruction of their belongings and Napoleon's squares blocking the way to save their camp, the Ottomans felt cut off and were thrown into confusion.[7] Kléber saw his chance, and ordered his men to charge,[7] which supported by the soldiers under Napoleon transformed the Ottoman retreat into a general rout. Ottoman cavalry headed for the mountains in the south, while their infantry scattered toward the Jordan River. Recent rains had risen the water of the river and made its banks into a quagmire, and this poor timing resulted in thousands of casualties for the retreating Ottoman infantry.[4] French casualties were fewer than 200 while the Ottomans fled before really significant losses could be inflicted, it was estimated that 6,000 of the army of Damascus perished.[2]

>>138014069 >he had been "due to his youth and appearance, a particuar subject of foul abuses by certain Turkish guards." what sort of foul abuses does he mean? He already said all the POW's were gang-raped so this must be something worse...but what?
