Cope. Even if it goes down to $100 it will eventually skyrocket to insane amounts because of the simple fact that there will come a time when Bitcoin will no longer be made or mined. Just buy now and hold. Same with stocks

Your coping, most bitcoin is owned by whales and buying bitcoin from currency exchange or PayPal tantamounts to buying a claim on bitcoin and not the bitcoin itself. Bitcoin is not money it’s a digital stock with no applications whatsoever and bitcoin will go to zero when central banks make their own crypto’s.

Makes sense. It's going to make the Chinese stronger too since they're the only country were the government turned mining into large basically state run operation. Kind of ironic considering the usual personality profile of bitcoin evangelists in the USA.

When central banks make their own crypto it will just validate btc as digital gold and the price will skyrocket.

Bitcoin can never be like gold because gold has other applications while bitcoin has no reason to exist other than hype and new technology back in early 2010’s. Plus central banks will outlaw bitcoins. Bitcoin is a get rich scheme and the early adopters made the most money while the recent entrants are buying at the top like that one retarded billionaire that bought into the hype.

This shit doesn't make sense to me. It's not a currency I can actually use to buy things. If I'm buying bitcoin, it's essentially just buying some meme stock. But actual stocks are an investment in a company. What am investing in when I buy bitcoin? It makes me feel like a crazy person because all it ever sounds like to me is a scam, but the value keeps going up. Why does the value go up? Because more people are buying bitcoin? But why are they buying bitcoin? Just so they can sell their bitcoin?

Whales own most bitcoin, they’ve cornered the market and thus can price bid upwards. As soon as one whale dumps the whole price crashes, Bitcoin is too volatile to be an investment since it’s a pyramid scheme.

too late to ban it. too much institutional investment has happened last year and there are too many people invested into it. They got away with banning gold in the past because of its inherent value but if they ban btc and 700billion dollars disappears there would be riots in the streets

Those virtual coins could then be used to buy things from the 26 million sellers which accept PayPal, it said.

I was going to buy bitcoin in 2011, but I would probably feel even dumber if I did. All I knew about it at the time was it was how to buy drugs on the Internet. I got paranoid about having drugs show up in my mailbox, so I didn't go through with it. I would probably feel like killing myself if I actually went through with it and spent what could have been a fortune on some shitty drugs.

I cope just by thinking that I'm not an economist or an investor, I don't have enough knowledge to predict what and, more importantly, why something is going to increase in price. Even if today there's something similar that's going to skyrocket like Bitcoin did/doing, I will not invest in anything because betting on something without having any logical argument in favor of your decision is no different from betting on football games or horses.

Human behaviour is to sell as soon as that one dollar became 100 dollars or 1000 dollars
I know plenty of dudes that brought bitcoin early but all of them sold to make a couple thousand dollars. Thinking they were hotshit at the time. One guy I knew literally started shaking and ran out the building to find somewhere with wifi to dump his entire bitcoin wallet for a 1k euros. I told him to chill and sell later (we were drinking) but he was desperate to sell. Dude would be a multi millionaire now if he didn't dump
