Why do Nordic countries resist having common debt policy in the EU? The bloc will never reach its full potential unless you're willing to rescue other nations from their debts.

How is this? Did an artificial border get put up in the sea? The bulk of brexit negotiations over the last 2 months have been mostly fishing concerns. What changed for Northern Ireland?

Banks tremble at the Mediterranean x Nordic symbiosis.

I said immigration, not customs. Gibraltar stays within a separate customs zone while becoming part of the Schengen visa regime while the reverse happens for N. Ireland which becomes part of the EU customs union but stays part of the Common Travel Area between the UK and Ireland (which was never part of Schengen in the first place).
Though it comes down to the fact that EU customs and immigration officials will enforce their respective arrabgement between separate parts of the United Kingdom and its overseas territory Gibraltar.

This is quite a loaded statement.

Only Greece has ever had a true debt crisis in the EU. Hardly constant.
>How can the EU hope to continue
In order for nordic countries to adopt a common debt they would have to agree with it. People are very reluctant to do so as why would you pay for somone elses debt? If nordic countries were forced to be in common debt policy they would leave and that would do more to hinder the EU than help it.

What are you talking about? The EU basically won what amounts to this decade's Falkland's war in humiliating the UK on the world state without firing a single shot, merely by using its economical leverage.
If you unironically believe that the truce inside the Conservative party is going to last, then boy I've got news for you: the UK is like Ireland before the civil war right now and soon the Conservative party is going to be at each other's throats splitting into a pro-treaty and anti-treaty faction, one that wants to keep the agreement and one that wants to (quote)'jettison' the deal.

The UK is currently at its weakest moment it has ever been in the last 150 years. I doubt that if Argentina dared to attack BOTs right now Boris would try to defend the territory.

Honest educated guess? Every EU states bar Denmark supposedly has to adopt the Euro once they reach the economic standards. Issue is Sweden rejected adopting the ERM II (one of the Europrerequists) in a referrendum. My guess will be over the years all EU cunts will use the Euro. This will be followed by an economic crisis which all the EU memebers will be forced to bail out because of their shared currency. In the process a common debt policy will be established.
That being said I would imagine a common debt policy would be a prerequist of joining the Euro?

>Thats kinda what im talking about... Its the EU who looks butthurt
Lmao, there is no 'butthurt' in international relations. There is only power and those that exercise it and what the EU did in the last month can be considered as its first assertive foreign policy action, similar to West Germany's intervention in the Serbo-Croatian war. Future historians might pinpoint this exact moment as the EU's coming-out as a world power.

You fundamentally misunderstand the situation. Falklands has 1,200 troops stationed and UK currently has two actual airicraft carriers (as opposed to the one and a bit during the last war). Argentina couldn't take the Falklands any time soon.

The EU just got rid off the most obstructionist and self-sabotaging member state by reducing it to an economical dependency with zero sway or influence within its institutions.

Yes, it took 4 years to reach a deal because brits wanted to be treated better than Norway while contributing less than Norway.
And so on...
Why should the E.U. disrespect their partners like Norway? Bcause Britain wants?

So the UK has gone free at the expense of EU, is that what you're saying? Since the UK is dependent upon EU now, but wont be obligated to institutions?
>>137016835

Brits have probably contributed more to EU over the years then Norway has over the years.

What makes you think that? They will have to adopt standard and regulations adopted by the European Commission and parliament with the only difference having no representation in those institutions anymore or they will trigger the guillotine clauses.
