Openly gay FreeBSD developer George Neville-Neil gave a presentation last year about security in the BSDs. It had quite a few factual errors and seemed to be covering up for FreeBSD's lack of security. He called OpenBSD "full of basement ideas."
Today, OpenBSD developer Bob Beck gave a presentation about one of OpenBSD's security features, along the following slide: https://www.openbsd.org/papers/bsdc an2019-unveil/index.html

What a shitty meme. SSDs work fine without TRIM. They last well beyond their rated lifetime thanks to built-in wear leveling. OpenBSD isn't going to chew up your drives.

Modern SSDs have hardware TRIM which is much better than what software could achieve.
