Bitcoins are increasing in value at an exponential rate. Obviously it's not sustainable, however that doesn't necessarily mean the value will crash, it could level out.

I'm reading the Trading section at bitcointalk right now and comparing all the weekly discussions to the historical prices. Quite enlightening. I don't think anyone could have guessed recent events, and very likely if any of us had bought into this in 2010 or 2011, most of use had we valued our investment, likely would have exited that market either during one of the panics or one of the rallies for fear of losing everything. Only those who mined and sold coins steadily really could guarantee a profit. I think those who are millionaires now should mostly be the true believers of digital currency back in those days, who held on and resisted cashing out even when tempted by $5, $10, $15, $20 highs and subsequent 40-60% corrections. For that faith, I commend them and they deserve what they have today. Personally, I still feel a bit depressed for missing this train. I actually had loaned a friend $4000 back in April 2010 when these coins were worth near a penny each. Had I done something else with that... HA! Imagine 60 million dollars... ;_;
