It's the TRIM command some might know from SSDs.
Some android versions (depends on compile flags set by the manufacturer) check whether a solid state memory block is writable on the fly. This can cause slowdowns to your system DURING write operations, like installing an app.
-This has nothing to do with GUI speed in general
-This does not affect your phone while not installing an app, i.e. 99% of the time.

Installed the franco kernel.
It's not exactly bricked - it highly unstable. It rebooted several times, now it loaded normally.
Going to play around a bit, but this 1.8GHz overclock is neat.

Set it on interactive. I get 10 hours of browsing out of it. I get about 1% loss on standby every 7-8 hours.
Although it will shit itself when I run a game on it since it will run hot at 79c in which case it will turn off.
I run it at 1.5ghz and it runs at 62c stressed. So yeah I guess I forgot to say 1.5 is optimal.

No noticeable difference for me using my Gnex on CM10.1. Ran Quadrant yesterday with Seeder installed @ 1.7Ghz CPU, 512MHz GPU, no voltage changes and got 3111. Installed Lagfix, ran it, rebooted and re-ran Quadrant with the same settings and got 3000 and change.

Do 50hz increments. Then when you think you already got a stable frequency, lower your voltages at 5mV steps. If it boots, lower it until it can't Remember the last stepping and apply it.
Then you stress test each and every frequency for your voltages.

XDA has far more problems than that.
Somehow it became popular to make your own "roms".
Now everybody and their grandmother take AOSP, AOKP or CM, slap a shitty wallpaper and install a couple of shitty apps by default on it and call it a new "rom".
There are dozens of occasions where "rom" "developers" would mess with settings that are fucking dangerous to begin with, stuff like voltages and clocks would be set to borderline retarded ones.
I was there in the beginning when most posts were at least kind of on topic. Now I have to wade though a sea of off topic shit that would make even /b/ proud to find whether or not something was released or not.
