What is the oldest OS in the world? The worst?

Oldest? Some obscure OS developed privately by the military when they were first testing computer military applications. Worst? OSX.

>>30952893 Landing on the moon was really just about murricas penis size. The cost of the Apollo program is just mind blowing and it wasn't really, from a scientific perspective, necessary, since there were already roughly ~140 known meteorites from the moon in various museums and laboratories. From a political and historical point of view, it was very significant though.

>>30953036 >Just get along with the times, colonize that shit ASAP. That's really not feasible in any way; economically (the price tag on such a thing is fucking mindblowing), socially (try getting people to isolate themselves for the rest of their lives voluntarily), technologically (it's not self-sustainable, you need to constantly ship food, oxygen, water, building materials etc).

Means you cand send more people that way, and building infrastructure becomes easier. We *need* to send prospectors there, to make the terrain suitable for the first real large-scale settlements.

Harry Reed has started a project to create a software simulator for the Multics CPU. The purpose of this project is to create an open source simulator reproducing in sufficient detail the function and capabilities of the Honeywell/Bull DPS-8/M processor with the ultimate goal of resurrecting Multics. Harry is interested in finding volunteers to code, debug, document, test, etc. People who understand the workings of the Multics CPU are especially welcome. http://sourceforge.net/projects/dps8m/

Truth is... THERE WAS NO SPACE RACE.. the soviets had completely different objectives, goals and desires in terms of their space program... they never had any plans to send anything to any other planets or anything like that... they were too busy doing actual science rather than having a testosterone induced penis size contest. even with their relativly tiny budget they outclassed us every step of the way.... once again, another day I'm ashamed to be American.
