Alright /g/, going to switch to linux this weekend since I finally have the time to do so. On my laptop im running #!, and I'll be buying a rasberry pi soon that I'm going to need to SSH into alot considering I'm going to be setting it up 50 miles away from me. I'm going to be doing nothing except wathcing movies, listening to music (usually around 6 hours a day), and browsing stuff. I want something relatively lightweight and stable. Right now I'm loving #!, should I just go with that? Any other recommendations? PS: best video / music player for linux? I use MPCHC and iTunes now. I wish foobar was on linux!

you can try playing around with distros like LuPu, or arch.

>>29004485 oh, on your main desktop. well thats up to you man, just try a bunch. if you use crunch bang, ubuntu would kinda be blah for you. you could try arch, or mageia, or since you like crunch bang, you would probably like debian. in fact, debian is probably the way to go, since its pretty powerful.

>>29004485 Okay, didn't understand with your Pi has to do with that. Still don't Install #! on your desktop if you like it, or just Debian minimal with openbox,. For music, RythemBox is alright. For videos smplayer or mplayer2
