Even on Ubuntu it doesn't recognize the ethernet module since it uses the ALX driver, which isn't part of the kernel yet. What I've got installed is entirely dependent on whether it recognizes one or the other interface, and whether or not I can get the other one working. I tried for a long time on Sabayon to get the ALX driver but couldn't.
