I'd just like to interject for moment. What you're refering to as "Land of the free", is in fact, "Land of the freedums", or as I've recently taken to calling it, "Land of the free plus dumb". Freeis not a nation wide status unto itself, but rather another component of a fully functioning nation made useful by the dumb Americans, Jewish lobby and paranoia comprising a full nation as defined by the EU.
Many nations run a modified version of the "free plus dumb" every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of "freedusm" which is widely used today is often called democracy, and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the "freedums" system, developed by the first world Governments.
There really is a free, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use. Free is the illusion: the idea of input in the system that allocates the nation resources to the other people that require freedums. The Jewish lobby is an essential part of an freedums system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete free plus dumb. Free is normally used in combination with the dumbs democracy system: the whole system is basically dumb people with free added, or "freedums". All the so-called free nations are really distributions of free plus dumb!

I don't think the problem is with accepting the card. At least based on the image used in the article, the school probably has checkpoints and stations with people who monitor them where you are forced to have your card read. Wrapping it in tinfoil would be the same as not carrying it.

Millions of workers do this everyday by punching in and out of clocks to prove they were at work rather than having their boss walk around and personally verify and write it down.
Seriously, this isn't a big deal. And is actually kind of smart as it saves time. The data you gain from "tracking" a student from classroom to classroom should be no different than looking at their FUCKING SCHEDULE.
