Sounds like your system is fucked, try reinstalling your OS.

I bet you use nightly on linux because there's no stable firefox in the package manager and you don't know how to change from nightly to stable

If I can just interject for a moment, the main issue when it comes to the arguments between the various fanbases of the various web browsers available today is often ignored. People choose to argue about inane trivialities such as speed, accessories, ease of updating, its UI and so on, but the most important thing of all is so often overlooked: freedom. There are free browsers, and there are non-free (proprietary) browsers. That is all one should need to know when it comes to choosing the right web browser for themselves. Opera, Google Chrome and Internet Explorer do not release their source code, they are also known to have backdoors, which makes them malware. Firefox and Chromium, on the other hand, do, and should be used by users. Chromium, however, actively feeds into Google Chrome, so its use should be discouraged, but not outright condemned, as it is still free software. Bear in mind that browsing the internet can lead to you being tracked in a variety of ways, and many browsers come with, or encourage, non-free add-ons, such as Flash. Therefore, I can only fully recommend browsers such as GNU Icecat, or, for maximum protection and freedom-assurance, wget from the command line.

>>28006471 >tons of other features to let you customize your experience How about changing the shitty UI?

So to summarize this thread. Some guy complains about Firefox crashing and being buggy. Then a bunch of Firefox developers jump in, try to ignore there is a problem, and then tells them to remove their profile instead of doing a clean install of Firefox. When they are called out on it, they automatically insult their competitor Chrome. Sounds like Mozilla HQ to me.

I think we all learned something here. The only people who use Firefox are those living in third-world countries and don't know of better alternatives, Firefox developers, web developers forced to make compatibility for Firefox, and FOSS fags using an obscure Linux distribution.
