So with iPhone 5 selling lower than predicted and riddled with critical issues such as the purple flare, prone to scratching and the disastrous Apple Maps, are we looking at the first iPhone flop? http://www.businessinsider.com/two-charts-spell-out-just-how-disappointing-apples-iphone-5-sales-rea lly-are-2012-9

>>28004810 looks like this samsungfag 'the next best thing is already here' adverts worked. or because so many fags got the 4S last year, they're still stuck on a 2 year contract

units/country is a godawful metric. These people are business journalists?

>>28004857 fuck I only just saw that what a useless graph, I'm outta here

It's still going strong according to the hater index. Measured by the amount of people that feel threatened enough by a cellphone that they have to make inane posts about it.

My sister (she is quite unintelligent I'd say) after some weeks of telling me she would like to buy the iphone5 she told me today that after seeing the one her friend bought she just doesnt like it. Quoting her: "its too long, too flat and looks like bad plastic" Tears of joy were dripping off my eyeballs.

>>28004893 >looks like bad plastic so she won't like any android phone in existence then?

>>28004857 Why is it a bad metric again? Looking at sales/country by itself may be bad but comparing it with similar data from the previous iPhone launch sales is quite logical.

I went ahead and got an S3. Everyone I work with mocks it for being bigger. I I also hear lines like "why get an immitator when you can have the origional?" I feel sorry for these people.

>>28004972 but if one year you add 100 really shit countries that buy 1 iPhone each. You're going to get a shit number, looks like that is what happened in the iPhone 5 bar

>>28004995 >immitator >origional

>>28004998 >but if one year you add 100 really shit countries that buy 1 iPhone each. You're going to get a shit number, looks like that is what happened in the iPhone 5 bar wow, that's some strawman right there... I don't think anyone would find this relatively expensive survey if they were just studying random groups of countries from year to year.

>>28005020 Sorry. New to smartphones in general. Can't into touchscreen typing at the moment.

>>28004972 Countries vary massively by population and wealth. If the first year it's sold only in the USA (315 million people, lots of cash), and the second year it's sold in the USA and Russia (half the population and much poorer), the average sold/country will have plummeted. It's not standardised and doesn't provide any useful information.

>>28005117 Swype or Swiftkey solves all these problems. Virtually no learning curve. Get that thing rooted.

>>28004810 I would say yes. After all, it's technically a downgrade from the 4s. I'm impressed how they did that-
