im having problems running this linux cd on my mac. It is an imac g5 (non isight model). There is no hard drive in the system, but I doubt that is needed for what I am going to do. When I press enter on its screen, it loads its kernel and all that but it fails to load something and then it freezes (ill see the screen blink) on the last thing shown in the picture. Any help would be great, thanks

- pass the "verbose" argument to the kernel
- try to boot in single mode and "systemctl status [failed command]"
- it must have a decent amount of RAM - given that you have no disk, it's compulsory.

Fedora is unparalleled in ppc support.

I've always had the best luck with Debian on PowerPC, but I'll give F18 a try when it comes out.

ill have to try this stuff when I come back from school in about 7 hours
I tried alt+F1 (alt on a mac keyboard is "option"?) and it didnt do anything, I see the screen blink and then freeze on that last command, it could just be that specific version of fedora. I know the fedora 16 download did not work one bit on the computer. ill try the ubuntu later today and fedora 18 when it comes out.

according to my keyboard (which has ibm-style and apple-style pictograms on it), alt is the key with the squiggly thing/apple logo
