Yes. Posted from my 2012 13" MacBook Air.

No, because it is not as good as the Lemote Yeelong.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834131303 - if you want something semi cheap for word processing, basic games, web browsing, etc. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834152338 - If you want to spend a grand and get what you pay for.

>>28004093 >If you want to spend a grand and get what you pay for. >twice the weight >twice the thickness >much larger size >half the battery life But I'm sure it plays your VIDYA GAEMS xD

MAYBE if you can get it discounted (ie. you are a student) Alternatives: Zenbook Prime (dat 1080 display) Thinkpad X1 Carbon

Alternatives are the ZBP and carbon x1. I'm an owner, I would say I have no regrets getting this over a similar laptop. It's also surprisingly capable for low-end gaming, even as someone typing this from a very nice gaming setup. I play league on my laptop all the time. However, I would say it's VERY arguable if it's significantly better then a dell vostro or thinkpad T series that can cost like, $600 less, $500 if you install the laptops with flash memory. You're paying $500 bucks just to have a pretty laptop that weighs less, it seems questionable if it's worth it.

>>28005030 To put it more clearly. I'm VERY confident that the macbook air is competitively priced for a $1200 notebook. I prefer it to other ultrabooks and also gayman laptops. I am not so confident it's worth it over much cheaper, well built buisness grade laptops that I bought before the MBA. Sure the MBA is better then those laptops, but is 3 pounds really worth $500?

Samsung Series 9 pretty much beats the Air in all categories, especially in the display category.

If you want a thin computer for facebook browsing, movie watching, and mp3 playing then by all means get it. Of course all /g/ does with their computers is browse 4chan anyway.

>>28005030 >low end gaming elaborate? this can range anywhere from angry birds to diablo 3

1 hours later 28005195 Anonymous
>>28005165 Diablo 3 would be the exact definition of low-end gaming i was looking for. Blizzard games, Valve games, league of legends, shit like that. It's not so good I would recommend it as a primary gaming computer, but it's still surprisingly capable.

1 hours later 28005335 Anonymous
>>28005195 can it emulate ps2 and xbox1 games?

1 hours later 28005346 Anonymous
>>28005335 PS2, if you slap Windows on it and use PCSX2. There's a Mac port of PCSX2 but it's based on an older and much slower version. There is no usable Xbox 1 emulation anywhere.

Do it OP. I have a 13" MBA and it outperforms all ultrabooks. awesome battery life too

Get a MacBook Pro instead

1 hours later 28005400 Anonymous
>>28005377 >MacBook Pro 13" >lower-res screen >5200RPM HDD >extra weight for little added use >only marginal difference in performance thanks to turbo boost

1 hours later 28005408 MDMA
>>28005377 The MBP is only worth considering if it's 15", and at that point you might as well have the retina screen and 2.6ghz cpu

2 hours later 28005518 Anonymous
>>28005449 Yes, for that price you could buy a giant hulking beast of a laptop with a giant screen, thick frame, heavy weight, and shit battery life, which are all definitely things someone interested in a MacBook Air wants. Dumbfuck.

I love my 13 inch MacBook Air. Upgraded it to 8 GB of RAM and it works wonderfully. Battery life is excellent, screen is decent, trackpad and keyboard are good. OS X is also a superior OS to Windows for everyday usage.

4 hours later 28007541 My Honest Opinion
>>28003698 I've been thinking about a Macbook air too. It's actually not that overpriced for the quality. MBA >best keyboard, touchpad Zenbook >bad touchpad >backlight bleed >better screen >comes with case and dongles >slightly cheaper

4 hours later 28007570 My Honest Opinion
>>28007541 Also for you people suggesting "gaming laptops" >playing games >older than 12 Get a job/life.
