Just buy an iPhone.

The only benefit is, that it's cheap, you are way better of with an Apple iPhone. You can get a 4S but the 5 is pretty decent too.

Disregard the apple fanboys. I consider an iPhone every time I upgrade and if iOS does what you want, that's fine. For me it doesn't, so I don't own one. The GNEX does what I want without operator bullshit like sim locks and branding, and without Samsung's bullshit like TouchWiz and nonexistant driver support to AOSP users. If I were you i'd wait for the new nexus that'll be released next month. Even if you still want to get the GNEX it will be cheaper. At the moment there are rumours as to what it will be and who will make it, but like Apple, we won't really know until someone leaks it or they announce it officially.

Benefits of a Nexus: You get Android updates on time without having to wait for providers to fuck around with the rom. Developers get great hardware support so aftermarket roms have pretty much perfect compatibility. No third party interfaces like TouchWiz, Sense or Motoblur, Some of the ideas they contain are OK but the whole situation with these replacement interfaces promotes fragmentation and shouldn't be encouraged. People don't need them and it makes rabid apple fanboys more annoying. No 3rd party apps baked into the rom that you can't uninstall No operator branding on the device - If you are spending money on a phone it is an insult to be expected to be a portable advertising billboard for them.

>>28002987 Pretty much what this guy said: >>28003602 And more subjectively: Awesome look (no branding). Amoled is awesome, tweak the gamma with franco kernel for more awesomeness. You can get rid of the softkeys easily and enjoy a full 1280*720p If you got some money, the "no contact" landscape dock is excellent. cons : no sd slot screen scratch easily not so great battery life, but can be tweaked a bit. I got 24h with 4h screen+wifi, far from excellent but meh.
