Dear /g/:
I have a mild scratch running across a (surprisingly decent) $10 LCD I picked up from a garage sale. Anyone know the best way to remove/cover up the scratch? Panel has a mild AG coating.

vaseline and a rubber wipe, you simply fill the scratch in with vaseline and it dosent look like its there, use the rubber wipe like a squeegee to remove the excess without removing the amount in the scratch

These things are pretty good for fixing CDs at least, might be you could use something similar.

Not sayin this is anything like that but my dad used to be able to fix any scratched disc no matter how scratched. First he'd start with a large grain sand paper and then move up to finer and finer grains until the disc looked cloudy. After a buff, the disc looked better than when it was pulled out of the case.

Yeah, I presumed he was joking.
I'm considering that magic eraser >>28002947 thing, though I'm wary of it, since it is a mild abrasive, and it'd probably wear down the bump AG coating.
I may try one of these >>28002954 >>28002973 ; anyone ever tried this with an LCD?
>>28002991
Thanks for that. My googling hadn't picked up some of those for some reason.

use sandpaper to remove that and the gloss, leave it matte
glossy screens are a terrible idea anyway
