I'm in the US Military. I don't typically state it, because people tend to get very butthurt about "Military." There are very stupid people in the US Military, who give "us" a bad image. I personally don't care what anyone thinks of me. I'm in college and I joined because I wanted a challenge. I've done some of the hardest things I have ever had to do in the service that tested my physical and mental limits. People talk so much shit, but I joined to see the world also.. you can't be traveling the world for free. There's a saying in the Military, "we get paid to work out."
I'm currently deployed and have ptsd. You may hate Soldiers, but I respect all individuals, every one is entitled to their own opinions.

I see where they're coming from, but even still, that's strange. The officer section of near any military is always looking for new people and are near always willing to foot a bill if it keeps a good officer effective.
I do understand their logic but the cost issue seem a bit of a triviality for them to bar you from entrance.
You can always go Air Force or Marines and get stationed on a ship/work with the Navy. They are usually much more forgiving.

do you guys know henry paulson? he was the ceo for goldman sachs up to 2006. so what do they do in the financial world? make money out of nothing, literally. they do tons of shit within what is possible. but rules keep them somewhat in check.
then in 2006 he becomes secretary of treasury. lowering his income by an insane amount. why would he do that? because he knows how to make money. he is now in a spot that allows his former place to make even more money because he can influence the rules. he liquidates his stock but i think he can still receive gifts either before or after his term.
anyway, that's what he does. he goes to make the country better right? nope, he frees up the rules so that the banks can run their shit even harder and within a couple years we hit the worst depression ever because of the games the banks have been playing (read been able to play because of changing the rules) and he resigns.
