2021-02-16 11:50 28900945 Anonymous STOP CHASING SHITCOINS (pepe.jpg 1337x1289 243kB)
I'm trying to help you kids. Classic /biz/ mistake is to try to hop from one scam to the next and chase little pumps. This is going to work favorably for oh I don't know, maybe 5% of you.
Crypto is a once in TEN LIFETIMES opportunity and you are still EARLY AS FUCK. You can make millions with very little investment. But ONLY if you don't buy a bunch of retarded shit and chase pumps.
Find some low cap gems you like. They exist. They are out there. There are 10x's lurking around every corner and there are 100x's if you really do your research.
Look at:
>DOES THE PROJECT HAVE A REAL USE CASE? I.E. IS THERE A NEED FOR WHAT THEY'RE DOING?
>DOES THE TOKEN ACTUALLY HAVE A PURPOSE? OR IS IT SOME GOVERNANCE PIECE OF SHIT? HINT: NFT MARKETPLACES DON'T NEED TOKENS
>DOES THE TEAM HAVE PROFESSIONALS WHO HAVE HAD REAL JOBS AT REAL COMPANIES AND BUILT REAL BUSINESSES?
>IS THERE INSTITUTIONAL BACKING? IF SO, IS IT JUST A BUNCH OF JABRONI CRYPTO FUNDS OR ARE THERE ALSO SOME REAL VC FIRMS OR FUNDS FROM REAL COMPANIES BACKING THEM?
Do this with every project you look at. You're welcome.

I'm trying really hard to learn and make money because I want to support and take care of my Mom. She means everything to me, bros. I'm taking your advice to heart because I genuinely want to improve my financial situation and am willing to do all the work necessary, but I am lost. What would be a good starting point for me? Any advice, tips, help, recommendations? I'd really appreciate any and all input.

>25% BTC

>25% GRT
I sincerely believe these have real use cases and are on track for growth. I'm looking for some /biz/raeli to convince me otherwise because as far as I understand these coins are not dying anytime soon.

learn about historical trends. cmc/coin gecko are good for this as BTC is cyclical and is basically the NASDAQ of crypto, altcoins (ie non BTC crypto) rise and fall with it so know whether BTC is bullish (the price will generally go up) or bearish (the price will generally go down) to avoid 50-80% losses.
do not invest emotionally. do not invest emotionally. do not invest emotionally. I cannot type or stress this enough, there is no quicker way to lose money in the market than going full retard and investing in something you think will make you a millionaire over night. general rules of thumb: never buy when the price of a coin is at an all time high (ATH), buy a coin when the price is at price lower than 50% of the average price of the coin over time (divide the ATH in half usually gives a good approximation of the average). For long term investing, try to buy btc or alts at the end of bear season (essentially a year or so after a big drop in BTC's price after an ATH) after BTC has crabbed (the price stays relatively the same) for 3 or more months. We are on the cusp of a golden bull run so now is literally the perfect time to at least 2x your investment, if you want safe returns go all in on BTC and wait till it reaches 100k to sell.
watch out for scams. knowledge is important for this (programming, knowing the history of scams, knowing what legitimate projects do), if you lack knowledge listen to wise biz posters. good rules of thumbs for scams: 1) if the development team is mostly indians/chinks it's a scam, 2) if their website is broken or shit it's probably a scam (if they can't even make a website what makes you think they can program a functional crypto?), 3) if they have no white paper (a document that tells you step by step how the crypto works) it's a scam, 4) if they shill constantly on biz and I mean constantly (10+ threads every hour) it's probably a scam, usually they will have un4chan like pepes and will speak in broken english.

no clue to be honest, I don't know enough about programming to make that decision, I have a very small bag of it in case it moons and only a small bag in case it fails, win win for me either way. sergey dumping 500k periodically is bearish but it could be just to get funding for the project.
just checked it, it's probably a scam, not posting the dev team on the main website + hidden whitepaper + shitty forced memes/shilling constantly on 4chan is very bearish. I have throw away money in it in case I am wrong.
2 hours later 28910826 Anonymous
One thing to remember. Undervalued coins are accumulated silently.
If you see a coin being shilled 24/7, it's ether someone waiting to dump on you or someone trying to save their bags at your expense.
>b-but the project is soo good!
Then they don't need your participation.

I started messing with crypto in january with a small portion of my total savings
most of my gains have been with shitcoins (rubic and bao in particular)
the hard part is not getting too greedy; i'd love to hold out for 10x gains each time but doubling or tripling what i put in is still good
maybe i just got lucky idk i'm probably due to get absolutely shit on soon

I found mine trough twitter, telegram, comparing all kinds of projects with each other on holders (check for whales, if they hold or sell), marketing tactics (usually the projects that post memes 24/7 are shit , the ones that stay silent and release powerful network updates/partnerships are undervalued). Check out icodrops, polkastarter and get an idea of what is partnered with other big projects. Oh and check for projects that are tied to investment firms, try to memorize the majority of the names of these VC investors etc. I could ramble on, the fun part of invest is exploring yourself and go full sperg mode to find gems.

Amp should be a solid project, as it's made by Flexa and already is in use for 40K+ retail locations. The 101 for it is that you use Amp as collateral for Crypto to fiat purchases in retail locations through the Flexa network. Some of their staff has worked at Tesla, and they have very little Social Media presence as of right now. The community is small, but gains so far have been steady. Amp has yet to be listed on Coinbase, so watch for that if you're interested.
>t. 100K Amp holder, got in at $0.018.

>>28912599
I've been watching from the sidelines since before 2017. Maybe I'm retarded, but when BTC peaked at 20k and then crashed, I really considered crypto to be an unsustainable source of money speculation. I can see that I was wrong. Considering how quickly coins have 10x-100x in the span of just 3 years, the stock market looks glacial in comparison. That's not to say the same can't happen with stocks, but the opportunities seem far fewer.
