There is no way that Apple bought any crypto. I can see Facebook Google or Microsoft but not Apple.

fools. Apple has the most secure hardware/software combination effectively anywhere. Built-in wallet for payments. Apple Pay. Been waiting for this. If they bring in a crypto wallet protocol for their Wallet app...it will instantaneously expose hundreds of millions of people to crypto essentially overnight. Watch what happens. Apple is next. Tesla was the first. Apple will be next.

Every large company has certain amounts of assets. It makes sense for BTC be used as a hedge against inflation for any company that has cash on hand.
I don't think any of you understand that hyperbitcoinization is here now.

desu it would be kind of retarded for apple to NOT buy bitcoin, especially after the tesla announcement. they literally have billions in cash sitting around, even if they put 1% into it wouldnt be shit for them
9 min later 28835122 Anonymous
apple is a publicly traded company they could not do this without disclosing this publicly.

They released a quiet update in IOS 13 that added dev tools and more support for cryptographic key management. They’ve been using data from Crypto related apps on their platform to build their own superior wallet. When will the news come out? Could be over a year from now for all anyone really knows.

If Apple had been accumulating they would have to make a market announcement to honour their obligation to shareholders to disclose price sensitive information. Tesla did this last week. If Apple were to accumuate a substantial holding with an announcement made shortly after the fact

I actually work at apple (OS development, San Diego) and haven't heard a word about this. At virtual happy hour on Friday the topic even came up but no mention of the company buying any Bitcoin and I'm sure if it were true someone from product would have brought it up.

you're an idiot, Apple is one of the most financially conservative companies on this planet, all those billions are locked up in Irish banks because of tax evasion practices and they cannot be easily retrieved, that money will stay locked in there, and will be the ultimate store of value, not some Bitcoin

don't they have a shit ton of cash reserves from years of dodging taxes?
it would make sense to convert some of that into a liquid non inflationary asset I guess

After watching Saylor's video last week it hit me over the head. I don't think I'm economically naive when I believe that any CEO who listens to the argument would feel like he has no choice but to put their corporation's cash into bitcoin. What Elon said makes perfect sense all of a sudden: In retrospect, it was inevitable #bitcoin.
If you haven't noticed, 350 billion dollars have entered the crypto space since then.
